Im helping Google with my honest reviews as I’m travelling around country a lots .. I do enjoy meals in different places .. I don’t remember last time I left 1star but today I was very disappointed.. I wish I looked at reviews before I came in but the design and look of this place it was very inviting. I was expect the same quality of food as well especially after seen 8 wings cost around £8 . Don’t get me wrong I knew this is Piccadilly of Manchester so shouldn’t be cheap ..
The small can of lager (330ml) for £4.50 was a bit more pain , but I still had two of it made me more excited for my wings as I’m a big fan ! Ordered normal &boneless wings also literally ordered most inviting flavours .. The staff and service was really nice no complain but when I get the food I had a cold shower .. When I seen the dry as desert fried wings I knew it straight away there is an issue with quality.. The wings was dead dry and because of that is lptaste less as well . I felt some kind of Parmesan cheese hint on it but it doesn’t helped the flavour at all ..
Then I asked the runner for some salt and black pepper for my chips . She said “we don’t do salt sor ry “ I was shocked .. I mean I’m at Piccadilly sitting in well designed restaurant spent £40 on wings and 2beer and they can’t give me Salt ..😳 I asked ketchup and mayo too and I get the small The fries was just okay but me personally I prefer crispy chips not the soft one .
Can u imagine you’re in restaurant you feel your meal unsalted taste less and when you ask for salt they say sorry we don’t do here… Okay that was a point where wanted to leave but my little one started he’s wings so I said okay let’s try another boneless chickens and wait..
The rest of boneless chicken was I would say alright but there is nothing I would remember or go back again. Unfortunately our story aren’t finished here .. While I’m eating my wings I can see blood on bones it was undercooked.. OMG . Okay I’m not a bad person we are all human and we do mistakes… put it away keep eating.. another bones with fresh blood on it ..
I took the bones to the front with the rest of wings explained my problem and requested a swap to boneless chicken.. Then .. I get .. an overcooked oily tasteless boneless chicken wings literally swimming in oil .. I asked the runner for extra napkins as we had oil everywhere on hands and face .. etc
So my experience and opinion as a head chef with 15 yrs experience behind , this place looks nice but end of the day the food quality is really low standard.. I know is just a small piece of meat to deep fry then cover with required sauce after bumm ready to serve .. sound dead easy especially if the wings are frozen not fresh .. This place I believe reall required as lol someone who understand how to make a delicious chicken wings and take this place to the right level of standard . Currently I feel like I throw out of window my...
Read moreI came in just before closing with friends and was served by a pale Indian woman in her 40s at the till. From the moment we started ordering, she made it her mission to mock us. She snickered, rolled her eyes, looked away mid-order like she couldn’t care less, and forced us to repeat ourselves multiple times. Every single interaction dripped with condescension and nasty looks.
When I finally called her out and asked why she kept laughing at us, she laughed again and acted like i had just said the worst thing to her then proceeds to walk into the open kitchen (visible to all customers) and started mocking me openly to the staff, retelling the story as if she was the victim. She was laughing, staring directly at me while talking about me to her colleagues — unprofessional doesn’t even begin to cover it.
From that point on, I was clearly singled out. Out of my entire group, only my order was “messed up.” It was deliberately delayed, dumped into a tiny bag so food was literally falling out (while my friends all got the proper takeaway bags and we all had the same order), and my flavours were wrong. When challenged, they gave weak, made-up excuses that just confirmed it was intentional. The behaviour was blatant — not an accident, not poor service, but calculated humiliation.
And then, the final straw: as we were walking out ( us being the second to last customers as is was 12 now and they were closed) the kitchen staff lined up and began saying “Is everything okay then? Yeah, is everything okay?” while giving sarcastic thumbs up and plastering fake smiles across their faces. It was coordinated mockery, and it was vile. Imagine being a paying customer and being laughed out of a restaurant by an entire team of staff.
This wasn’t just rude customer service. This was harassment. The staff went out of their way to embarrass and belittle us in front of everyone. I am honestly shocked this kind of behaviour is tolerated by Wingstop. If management does not take immediate action, it says everything about how little they...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend going here when it’s busy! I was really disappointed with my most recent experience and the level of service provided.
I visited recently with my sister and a friend. We each placed our takeaway orders separately and were told there would be about a 25-minute wait — which was fine. However, our orders were placed at 4:49 PM, and we didn’t receive our food until around 5:35–5:45 PM.
My friend’s order was fine, but there were issues with mine and my sister’s. We were told our food would be brought to us, but after the 25 minutes had passed, I went to check on our orders. I was told that my order had been called out earlier but wasn’t collected, so it had just been left sitting on the side. As for my sister’s order — which was only chips — I asked one of the workers about it, and she replied flatly that there was a waiting time. I explained that I understood that, but after waiting around 45 minutes, it was reasonable to ask. She didn’t seem particularly helpful or apologetic, so we sat back down to wait again.
I later asked another staff member (the one who gave me my order that had been sitting out) about my sister’s chips, and she gave the same response: “There’s a waiting time.” When the chips finally arrived, they were hard and clearly not fresh. The worker handed them over quickly with a rushed apology before walking away.
It just didn’t make sense that my friend and I got our meals first, while my sister’s simple order of chips was last — and poorly made at that. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and money, and the staff didn’t seem to care or show any sympathy about...
