Wood & Company — Restaurant in Manchester

For us, it wasn't great. Our 1st time coming here and was excited as we love our cocktails. Did a lot of research and came across Wood and Company. We reserved a table as it was our 10 year anniversary. Arrived and was taken to our table straight away. We ordered 2 cocktails a Honey Bee and an Espresso Martini. We were having a good time chatting and time passed but no drinks. The server, who was really nice reassured us that the drinks were coming. 20mins later the server asked if our drinks came and we said not yet so she went to the bar and came back with 2 free shots (weren't particularly great tasting) and very apologetic. Looked towards the bar and saw her chatting to the bar man and bar maid and our drinks weren't being made. (30mins after we made our order) she came back and said drinks will be ready shortly. Looked towards the bar and she was making them herself. Don't know what happened behind the scenes but the bar man and barmaid never made our drinks. The drinks arrived and honestly, they were really nice. Shame about the wait. We asked for the bill and left. We would have ordered more drinks but just didn't want to wait ages for the next round of drinks. 30mins is a long time to wait. The server was lovely though not sure about...

One of Manchesters best, hidden cocktail bars! If its not for the wide variety of cocktails broken down into sparkling, fruit, vegetable and strong - made to perfection; its the amazing staff here. Dom, wee Meg and tall Meg bring great personality, experience & knowledge to the table every time and nothing is too much trouble. There is a wide varity of craft beers, 1 craft-draft frequently changed and spirits that can't fit on any menu (yes.. There's plenty of gins, Whiksy, bourbon etc.. to name a few). I cannot recommend the wood & co enough, if you are looking for immaculate vibes then this is the place for you. me and my friends were over for my birthday, it’s safe to say the staff really took care of us. so much so, we were back 3 nights in a row. major shoutout to Seb who looked after the four of us for those 3 nights, always presented with warmth, a smile and laughs. Service 10/10, drinks 10/10, staff 11/10. i recommend the honey bee, grapefruit mule and lady marmalade.
