The Whitewall Gallery on Deansgate, Manchester, is an excellent choice for anyone who has some spare time on their hands, to pop inside and see what artwork is being displayed from the most talented artists of the moment. I took this advice four years ago and I haven’t been able to stay away. Before visiting the gallery, I knew very little about art and believed that you had to be a member of some pretentious club before contemplating setting foot in such an establishment, let alone think about actually purchasing any artwork; this was so far from the truth.
The art consultants who run the Gallery are extremely welcoming and are keen to share their knowledge of the artists who are affiliated with the Gallery. One consultant in particular is the fabulous Justine; she has been my art consultant now for over four years… and four art purchases later… a dear friend who I can count upon to keep me up to date with the latest happenings in the Gallery. Aside from the art, I now don’t think twice about popping by the Gallery when I’m out shopping in the city centre for a brew, or a cheeky glass of prosecco, and to chat over the latest additions to the Gallery with Justine.
My partner and I have recently been fortunate to have commissioned a painting from the acclaimed artist and Architect Ingo. The commissioning process was surprisingly simple, thanks to Justine and the Whitewall Gallery. Justine managed everything; helping us to decide upon the subject matter; liaising with the artist on our behalf; and organising and hosting a private viewing (big reveal) in the Gallery for our close relatives and friends. The customer journey was a joy! I would definitely recommend commissioning a piece from the Whitewall Gallery.
Aside from the artwork, we have been fortunate enough to attend a number of events at the Gallery, including an evening with the artist Fabien Perez. Justine always makes sure that the Whitewall clients are kept informed of such events and are made to feel special. The Gallery has recently undergone a face-lift, and what a transformation it is! It is definitely worth a visit!
Having walked into the gallery four years ago I would never have expected to be owning some impressive pieces of artwork. I would recommend anyone with a spare half an hour or so to pop by the Whitewall Gallery and see what work is being displayed. You won’t be...
Read moreWe recently received our commission which was done through Whitewall Gallery in Manchester and Justine guided us through the whole process.
We have never done this before but my husband and I wanted something to remember my parents by who have died.
We wanted to ensure we had the criteria right for the artist, the size and framing and as it cost a quite a bit were anxious.
However we were not alone as Justine From Whitewell was with us every step of the way, advising us on what to ask of the artist, the size etc.
Justine encouraged us with regards to the size and I kept worrying it was too big, however Justine kept encouraging us to trust her and the artist. We did and oh my goodness were we right..
Our picture came last week and we were absolutely blown away, it was perfect and my husband and I are really grateful to Justine for her persistent especially with regards to the final frame and image we agreed upon on.
The overall service from Whitewell was professional and attentive throughout, delivery was excellent and we used - Hang my Art Company to put it up - they were very good indeed.
Justine really does know her stuff, we are so delighted with it and it has taken pride of place in our lounge.
Thank you to the artist And Whitewell but mostly thank you to Justine For her care, patience and most of all for encouraging us to take a risk on the...
Read moreWe were treated antagonistically from the moment we stepped foot in the door. Before we opened our mouths, we were sized up based on our appearance and told that it was a reserved event while holding tickets in our hands. I was immediately told without solicitation that that this was the owners business by the owner,( blonde lady with a quintessential I-am-the-owner- blonde bob haircut) and I was told “it’s not that you’re not welcome here, this is my business though, and this is a buyers event.” I was sent by a friend to scout and see if there a specific painting by Todd White but couldn’t even make it in the door. When I mentioned what I was looking for, this “owner” said “you won’t find that here” - how can you be so hateful to us and assume we were not there to buy? Not a care whether this was our intention or not, she took one look at decided based on our appearence. I hope people overheard this interaction and based on this discrimination would encourage Future buyers or perusers to not support...
