Let’s hope the show who is going to better than the customer service , I have just experienced the most dreadful experience at the hands of Tracey , a booking agent ! I had called to ask when I would receive my tickets for a show at the end of January . I was advised they had been posted( clearly lost) which I totally understand . Another set of tickets could be issued and posted to me . When I suggested the same situation could happen , her very flippant reply was “Well it might not” I was offered to collect them at the theatre , at this point I asked if the postage fee would be refunded? This was refused . I asked to speak to the manager , who was in a meeting , I asked if the manger to call me back she told me to call back ( and sniggered/laughed at me) Totally rude and not professional. I terminated the call .
The Manager called me back to discuss this , apologised for Tracey , and confirmed she had laughed at me ! To then be told the reason why she had been so rude was because she did not know the answers, even though she has Over 10 yrs experience . and was working alone. ( The logistics of the theatre is not my concern) Diane the manager continued to ‘Chastise’ me throughout the conversation . Let’s hope the show is better. This is the first time using the theatre and quite...
Read moreWe went here to watch the Dick Whittington panto
The panto itself was really good, the kids enjoyed it (so did I :) but the thing that ruined it was the fact that the play writer (Malcom Stent) tried to make the show all about him. He was a poor excuse for an actor anyway, even though he didn't play the main role the spotlight was always on him when he was on stage no matter how many others were on at the same time.
Within 10 minutes of the play starting he stopped it to talk about how to follow him on twitter and to talk about the other plays he had written, he must have been talking for about 15 minutes at which point we were all ready to kill ourselves. Just imagine Quentin Tarantino stopping one of his films half way through to talk about the local weather and how to follow him on Twitter, it isn't much different.
He is no doubt a good writer but he should stick to just that rather than trying to steal the limelight - I would never watch another panto that "Stars" Malcom...
Read moreThis year's pantomime was FANTASTIC! We go every year and it has always been really good but 2018 SLEEPING BEAUTY was very special. Such a lot of fun was had by all. The acting, the singing, the costumes and props were amazing! The stage sets and lighting were tremendous. We are all looking forward to next year's performance One small point though- we did miss seeing the musicians in their little 'pit'. Many thanks to all involved in this very professional production! As always, the various members of the team, ushering to seats, taking tickets, selling ice creams etc. we're friendly, helpful and knowledgeable so many thanks...
