Stayed at resorts world this weekend and visited with my parents, husband and two children . We were seated fairly fast and told them we had already written down what we wanted to order after looking online ( we always do this as my younger son has special needs and struggles in restaurants) . Despite this it took around 10 mins for a waitress to get to us . We ordered everything and then proceeded to wait 20 mins for our drinks . My younger son with special needs was very thirsty so we asked the waitress to prioritise getting him his capri sun over our drinks as he was going in to a meltdown . Despite this all our drinks came first . We said to the waitress please could you just get him some kind of drink even if it’s tap water and she said she could not go behind the bar because she was under 18 . We simply just needed her to grab a capri sun for my child who was now shouting at this point and disturbing people around us . I ended up giving him my drink as another 5 minutes passed after we all had our drinks and the waitress came back and said they didn’t have the orange one could we get the other flavour . We said whatever and she bought out the capri sun in carton and at this point we just didn’t understand why he had to wait when it wasn’t in a glass or anything . Then my mother who suffers from panic attacks felt like she was having one ( music was extremely loud you couldn’t even hear your self think and it was getting quite busy ) she asked if we could sit outside but we were told you can’t have food in the outdoor area . After some persistence we were told we could which was lovely from a different waitress to the one with the drinks and I do commend that . But our food at this point had taken over an hour to come despite ordering straight away ( we didn’t even get menus out ) and when it came it was cold . Also very over priced and no flavour . It was £16.50 for a bowl of pasta that barely had any taste and 4 strips of grilled chicken . Aswell as this the menu doesn’t say that the pasta comes covered in cheese which if you are like me and can’t eat cheese then you are abit stumped . The rest of my party’s food was not very good with small but highly priced portions , nothing like how tgis used to be . We were very disappointed and it was the highest priced meal we had had all weekend compared to other places in resorts world we visited and at tgis the kids eat free with an adult main currently , and despite this we still paid more overall than other restaurants there . Read moreAbandon hope all ye who enter here on a Saturday night. Decided to go and we hadn't booked, clearly this is essential. The place was rammed and clearly unable to efficiently manage and unwilling or unable to use the table booking system.
8:30 a condescending young guy took our booking of table for 2 and said to come back in an hour; 9.30.
We walked around the lake outside and came back at 21:00 we suggested we would have a drink in the bar and wait till a table was ready if the staff would let us know. Lots of tables were set and empty but I assume there wasn't enough staff. It was made clear to us by Mr Condescending that they would not call us if a table was ready, we must come back to the busy desk and queue again to check at 9.30. Bar staff were busy but amiable and pretty efficient.
The bar was full so there were no seats so we sat outside. We didn't get a buzzer for the table booking system. We rejoined the large queue again at 21:25, while in the queue we were frustrated to see people who hadn't booked at all being immediately seated. Other people were also coming up from the bar to complain they had waited over an hour for a table so we were far from the only people affected by the disorganisation.
The table waitress was nice but she was too busy, for example she looked at empty drinks but didn't offer to refill them. It took over 30 minutes after we ordered for the single starter to arrive, despite the place rapidly clearing out at this point. We shared a main and a side, a couple of items were out of stock, e.g. bacon for the salad, chicken wings, but it had been a busy night we understand that happens.
We were sat on a seat on the other side of a server station, with multiple employees coming and going on the other side of the low wall. They seemed to need to learn over for something there, which meant they kept peering down and one also coughed from his side over me/my food. Food itself was ok, although very wet lettuce in our salad, dirty cutlery just from the washer. We left around 23:00, not impressed at all. Read moreIf I could rate 0 stars I would. We arrived and were told there were no tables so it would be a 15minute wait, this wasn't an issue for us so we waited at the bar. When we got to the bar we could see the resteraunt was pretty much empty so no need to wait for a table. I went and asked why we couldn't be seated and they took us to a table. We ordered straight away as we were hungry. Drinks came out fast then it took at least 30mins for the starter following on from that an hour for the mains to come out after plates for starter collected. Staff were no where to be seen they would just disappear. When asked where the food was they would say a couple of minutes then you wouldn't see them again. My chicken burger then arrived stone cold so had to be sent back another 20minute wait In the mean time my husband has finished his meal so we won't be eating together. We spoke to the manager and said we wouldn't be paying for my meal as it came out cold etc. She honoured this but told us she didn't think the service was slow she recalls it only taking 20mins for the food to get to us. We paid for the bill and waited for the manager to bring our change which never happened. Bit of a joke considering we'd complained. We asked another member of staff for the change from the manager who was now serving other customers instead of bringing the change. We we finally got the change she was standing at the back of the resteraunt with a sarky look on her face. Every time we spoke to someone about not being happy that person never came back they were replaced with someone else. Awful service awful tasteless food and to be honest it wasn't very clean either. Toilets were a state. I can see why in recent weeks they've had such awful reviews. I would like to add at no point during this were we rude to any staff member we were always polite when asking how long it would be and when speaking to the manager we simply stated we weren't happy with the standard of food and the time it took to come out.
