The atmosphere is always so pleasant and welcoming, the food is always fresh and top tier, along side the drinks and most of the staff are very pleasant and caring apart from a-few. Alas there is a member of staff that has been in, during my last few visits, who has unfortunately made my visits less enjoyable and slightly intimidating, who is known as Gemma I believe. There’s a number of things that come to mind however the main things that reduce me having a good time, is her demeanour, the way she holds herself and sometimes, the way I’ve been spoken to and witnessed others being spoken to. I can completely understand and empathise the state that some people can get into, but the way some have been spoken to is very inhumane and dismissive. I was shocked to find out she is in an authoritative position, as manager or bar leader, considering how she’s spoken to customers. I further empathise for the team if they get treated in anyway close to how, I amongst others have been treated.

Other than that I have no complaints, captain Ridley’s has always flourished and has been my go to place for the last 4 years. I do hope that the branch can continue to reach its full potential and nips situations like...

We went New Year’s Day to grab a big brunch - the food itself was lovely, we couldn’t fault it! However, my partner ordered his before mine to the same table and had to wait over an hour. After waiting for 45 minutes he went to ask where his food was; after speaking to a rude member of staff telling him she ‘wasn’t sure’ when his food would come, brushing him off, the mood dampened when we had all finished our brunches; still waiting for his. With this, members of staff serving us that day were particularly rude, speaking back to customers asking where their food was rudely and telling them they were wrong and had ordered different items. One member of staff had spoken to another in a way in which annoyed the tables around us, including ourselves, blaming him for a mistake and telling him she ‘told him’ very loudly in front of customers - this must’ve been very uncomfortable and embarrassing for him! Overall not a nice experience, and we will be speaking to head office about treatment of customers and staff - we understand it was busy, but this did not warrant the behaviour received and the prolonged wait for one member...

Didn't stay as walked through the door and the building to the rear garden with my dog . Only to be told after sitting down for 5 to 10 mins while choosing my meal, that my dog wasn't allowed anywhere on the premises. I was not informed by any staff who witnessed me walking through the building to the rear. Which is some considerable way to be informed. I asked if I could go through the fire exit so not going back through the building only to be told no you will have to pick him up and carry him through the building. I have a small sized dog which has been in this pub before. So glad I don't have a large dog as I would not be able to pick it up . After coming out I looked at the door entrance and there is no signs that state no dogs allowed. I googled Wetherspoons pub and to my surprise found out that all dogs are banned from all of their pubs . Some signage would have been nice to save the embarrassment of having to put up with the stares from the other customers who obviously see myself walk through the door with my dog only to be carrying him out 5 to 10...

Visited here after New Year's Eve, just popped in for a beer, and ended up having lunch as well. This Weather spoons pub is one of the best family friendly in Milton Keynes I think, nicely decorated and kept very clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and do a great job of clearing the tables, you can see the food being prepared as it is an open style kitchen to be found at the rear of the venue. There is a large rear garden area with ample seating, also outside seating can be found at both the front and side of the venue. There is always a great selection of hand pulled real ales available, as well as the normal beers, lagers, ciders and wine. Also a good selection of the now very popular 0 alcohol drinks available for the driver, this is I think one of the selections of alcohol free beers I have seen. The food menu is very varied and something for everyone can be found, also I feel still gives great value for money in these times. Would definitely recommend a visit to this pub.

A busy town pub which JD Wetherspoon's have done well to modernise and make good use of the plot. There are plenty of nods to local history and not just Bletchley Park with the decoration. There are excellent and comprehensive disabled facilities available in the toilets, though only one disabled space in the modest car park in front. There is a typical food and drink range from Wetherspoons' with real ales changing regularly and have the business to support turning them over to serve them fresh and in good condition. Food is delivered fast and weekday lunchtimes are busy but can still find a table. There is a good sized garden equipped for near year round use at the back. Staff are all friendly and accommodating which adds to the appeal. Update Jan 2024: Continued good levels of service as described above

Argyle on tour! I've made it to Bletchley....2 miles from MK Stadium where we play tonight. What else but to visit a new "Spoons"!! And fantastic it is too. Only 4yrs old, rebuilt but on the original site where the intellually brilliant saviours of our nation used to come on route to Bletchley park to unravel Hitlers encrypted codes. They used to masquerade under the pseudonym of "Captain Ridleys shooting party" to hide their identity in 1938. The usual fare, I had a curry on arrival and next morning beans on toast with hash browns. The beer was ridiculously priced at 99p !! Girls serving were great. Can't get used to the fact that over 40 miles from London and everyone talks like a "cockney geezer". Love it !! You can't beat a "Spoons".....
