Nice place for groups, the food is tasty and there is a wide variety of items to try. I think there is something for everyone here and good choices for vegan also. They also have gluten free options and a decent kids menu.
I attended with a big family group and we had pre ordered food... out of all the orders for some reason my order had not gone through and so I was left without food and had to wait for everyone's food to be sorted and then they would prepare mine. Whilst they said it would take about 15 minutes it was out relatively quickly. Luckily my sons food had come out with the previous order and he really enjoyed his food.
I also ordered a non alcoholic cocktail and an alcoholic one. Buy one get one free as it is always Happy Hour. The drinks are pretty much glasses of flavoured ice.. not much by way of cocktail, notwithstanding I paid nearly 12£ for the alcoholic one.
I would still come here again as the food is tasty and as previously stated a lot of options. The staff were very good and accommodating despite us being a little late. The customer service was really good, from the security at the door to the waitresses. Our server Rhiannon was wonderful and answered all my silly questions, she put up with our big group without complaint.
I had ordered the tapas - 5 dishes for £30 and a kids option 5.50 with dessert. I had the mushroom quesadilla - Was quite nice needed a lot of cheese to accompany it which would have been more enjoyable for mem. cheese and mango empandas - these were really nice the mango salsa inside was very nice. Calamares - Fine, nothing special a decent calamari Nachos - Proper Tortilla Nachos, bit hard and could have done with more sauces. Chicken wings with a guava glaze - They were tasty and the wings had a nice crisp to them. The curly fries were nice And the plantain I had on the side was OK, albeit it seemed over ripe to the point of off, it was difficult to tell.
Some of the pics are meals from my group as well.
Overall was a nice meal, with a nice atmosphere and nice staff to...
Read moreWe visited Las Iguanas 10th August and it was probably the worst experience eating out I've had in a very long time.
We arrived and were seating however the music inside the restaurant was so loud we couldn't hear each speak. We were told someone would be over to take our drink order as you would normally expect. We sat there for 10mins without anyone coming up to us and we couldn't stand the volume any longer so asked the lady if we could sit outside which she said would be fine. However she didn't tell us that if we sat outside no one would come to take our order and we only found this out after waiting for another 10mins.
After finding out how we were to get food we were told we need to either use the app or order at the bar. We had a voucher so decided to find out what we wanted to eat and go up to the bar. We did this and was told we weren't allowed to order at the bar and at this point we are growing increasing frustrated.
We try using the app however we have issues with it, we have no way of using the voucher and there is no option for the 'free kids meal' with every adult meal and we were being charged for them.
We went back up to the bar and after they tried proving us wrong and being unsuccessful then took our order at the bar.
The food come out 5 mins later which we were suprised with. We then decided to order some drinks through the app but had to wait for 40mins for a coke, apple juice and orange juice. We were stunned that the food come out quicker than the drinks.
We ordered nacho's, however they were stale and chewy and weren't even hot. We also ordered fajitas which were very dry and didn't taste very nice at all.
Just not a very good overall experience, lack luster communication from the staff, poor service and food was below par.
Las Iguanas is not somewhere I think I'll be...
Read moreAfter winning a £50 gift voucher with @lasiguanasmk for a local corporates giveaway, I booked a table for my close friend and colleague for lunch.
We were greeted by the charming and welcoming Alejandra who seated us then shared the menus with us.
Wow 🤩 the choices are insane! We took so long deciding what to choose 😋 so we started with a mocktail while we were looking 🍹
I chose the chicken fajita stacks which has a special mix of spices, onions and peppers 🌶 it was accompanied with guacamole, grated cheese, sour cream, jalapeños, tomato salsa and soft wheat tortillas. I also added warm, gooey cheese 🧀 sauce. I loved hearing the super hot sizzle in the skillet when it arrived 🔥 Delicious! Such a treat 😍
My friend chose a new item on the menu - Pescado Blanco Bobo, which is white fish fillet in a spiced ginger, pepper coconut 🥥 and lime sauce. Served with spring onion rice, spiced quinoa with broad beans and chickpeas, shredded greens and pink pickled onions 😋 She loved it too.
We also shared some dirty jerk fries 🍟
Everything was cooked to perfection, super fresh and bursting with flavour. 🤩
Amazingly, we made 'room' and enjoyed Churros and Dulce de Leche Cheesecake ... so dreamy! 😍
The service was faultless by Alejandra and the team, we were given recommendations and given the menus to take away and share with our work colleagues, friends and family too.
There are some fabulous deals, including the Big Bottomless Brunch and the Chicas' Cocktail Club. We 100% will return, but this time won't be driving so we can enjoy the...
