Mangal Plus — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Just had a Cyprus Salad and a Turkish sausage . So, first the sausage , nice and tasty but really small , so for £4 you would expect more . Now for the salad , £14 for a bag of mixed lettuce that has a striking resemblance and taste to Aldi mixed salad bag which costs 80p and you get about half a bag , tough leaves and you feel like a cow chewing the damned stuff . Olives , feta cheese and the grilled chicken all very lovely , just not enough to warrant £14 . No cherry tomatoes as advertised , just half a tomato sliced . So after getting an aching jaw chewing the lettuce , wondering where the rest of the chicken was , I am still hungry after spending £18 ! let that sink in , if I was overweight and had an eating problem I could understand . I first went to Mangal Plus purely by chance towards the end of last year. I can say now after eating there at least almost every month and sometimes more that the Kebabs are as they should be, not modified. I was going to many places in Milton Keynes before but none since I found this place. The meat is moist and succulent, the team is friendly and generous and the quality is great today as it was when I found it about 8 months ago. They are a takeaway but they have squeezed in a table and few chairs for those who are desperately hungry and cannot wait. I have used those a few times. Was our first time trying this place tonight. Passing through Wolverton and spotted it. We’ve tried all the other kebab takeaways in the areas. This will be our kebab takeaway from now on. We had 1 large chicken shish mixed with doner. Absolutely no chewy or hard bits in the doner meat which is a real put off for me. The chicken was cooked over charcoal in view of customers and tasted so fresh and authentic as well as succulent. Even the chips were crispy and well cooked. Very reasonably priced as well. 1 large mixed chicken shish and doner, 1 large chicken shish both came with a good helping of savoury rice and salad, chicken fillet burger and large chips.
