Thought i would treat family to something different... and we certainly go it... as to be expected the website for ordering is easy to understand etc etc etc... and thats where any exciting expectation you have stops. Collected our order at desired time, got it home and I would say firstly, of you order a meal in a box from the website, you won't get one, not matter what size of box, forget it, my point being is, on opening the bag, every item across all meals ordered were wrapped individually but we HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS WHAT. There is no naming on the wrapping for the customer to easily identify their individual parts to their meals. So having got over that disappointment, then proceeded to open each item to see if we can decipher the rubbish wrapping. On opening the items, the disappointment just kept on coming. Bit like going to the fast food restaurant with the golden arches... did any of the items look any where near what they looked like on the website, BIG NO NO. My family and stared at the substandard food in the wrapper, then each other, then back to the food. Its like we were playing eyeball tennis as we all couldn't believe what we were presented with. To say we weren't impressed on any level, despite having low enough expectation based on lack of labelling whats what, it really can get worse. Once we'd deciphered the second puzzle of spot your own food, what was on our plates was far from any delight that comes with trying something different. On closer inspection of each meal, discovered that two meals didn't have the items, its like Taco had substituted a few item to look like something close to the item. To be honest I wouldn't have a bloody clue what was what regardless. To try and summarise like a diplomat, wraps cold, limp, lacked filling, chips cold, limp and seemed to have been pulled from a warming cabinet made 4 hours earlier, crispy taco, not crispy but subbed for more warps, bean filling was correct only got one bean. I mean honestly, ok the family got something edible to put in our bellies, but for trying something new, talk about TACO trashing the experience. There really is no apology that can rectify this un-memorable moment in time. Don't get me wrong my expectation weren't too high to begin with, but to get lower than that, has to be a first. As for the place, well, chaotic, staff all over each other, no facemask/protection on any of them apart from 1 or two staff who may give a sh*t, no gloves of food preparation staff. If no one get Covid-19 from this place will be a miracle. I for one won't be going back for 2nds. At this time there are two many variables firstly to rectify the horrendous visual concoction of what they call food and secondly, the lack of protection that individual staff take, or the manager enforces, for us to go back feeling safe about that environment. I have other simple suggestion, won't cost anything extra to their current outlay to make customer experience far superior, but TACO can't afford me. May you be in gods hand if you venture here, don't say I didn't warn you about any of it. Your Call 😉, all...
Read moreGreat tasty food. First time visit and the parking is a nightmare as they have stolen half the Burger King car park to put the store there. Parking is therefore a premium. Parked offside and walked 30 seconds instead and avoided all the drama! I ordered to collect and smashes the pants off the anxiety driven KFC experience of collections and fending off all the annoying aggregate drivers .Friendly welcome l, joined the queue for my collection time and was called 30 seconds after my pickup time. Busy but friendly and was in and out in 5 minutes inc the walk to and from Car. Food superb. I have a big appetite and the other half has a small one so I spent £15 on a burrito and a crunchy something meal, large nachos and a soft Chicken tortilla.Added some churros and cinnamon twists. Have to say the bag felt light and doesn't feel like you have much food in the bag - there is a weight to five guys and KFC etc when you walk away with a bag of food of 15 quid. That said the food was great, loved everything we had and it was tasty but I won't be able to just order a burrito meal as its not enough food for me but the other half is good which just the nachos and taco so ideal for her. Negatives were- Need more cheese sauce. For a large nachos getting half a pot of sauce was rubbish, have to order extra next time. Also no chocolate dip or whatever was supposed to be with the churros. Would not deter me going back a second time and definitely put this place on the map for me as an alternative to the 2 big name burger places next door to it and something that feels a bit lighter on the stomach. Finally special mention to the Mexican fries which actually are different and tasty, not just a shake of pepper and called 'spiced' or 'Cajun'. Recommended for lighter mealtimes or mix and match meals where you want a ton of different items.
2ND Visit Update......More of the same l, tasty food but everything was a little less than hot and the chips had to go in the microwave - Stone cold. Crispy Chicken Burrito came wrapped in Burger King paper what the hell! Made me laugh. Undeterred still enjoyed the food but I'm telling you, don't bother paying the 30p extra for chocolate dip with churros, they forgot last time and forgot this time!!! BS 3 portions and no sign of choc sauce. Annoys the hell out of me. Last visit it was rammed and they pulled it off. Tonight they let themselves down a bit and makes me wonder if I'm going to make that trip from Newport Pagnell a third time...hmm do...
Read morei am so tired of the issues with this location. we have given it so many chances and twice out of probably 10 or 15 orders have we ACTUALLY gotten what we ordered, whether we ordered in store, on the taco bell app for pick up, or on a delivery app.
if you are out of a topping that is listed for an item - tell me or prevent me from ordering it! i am sick of paying extra for a “supreme” which is supposed to have tomatoes and sour cream … only to open my items and find they don’t have those toppings. quite regularly we also pay for the caramel dip with our churros which is just left out of the order. i now find myself unable to leave the store without checking each individual item which is just annoying. if you have nearly 8 members of staff around, and only 3 of them are actually doing something, why can’t one of the other 5 just tell me “hey, so sorry, we are out of _.” it’s one thing for a base item to be missing something, but if i have paid for a supreme or added extra sour cream to my item, and i find it doesn’t have it and i wasn’t offered an alternative or a refund, i think i’m justified in being upset. why am i able to order something you don’t have?
i have worked in restaurants and customer service and it takes a lot for me to leave a review as i know there are bad days and stock issues and things that happen on occasion…. but if it gets to the point where your customers EXPECT something to go wrong in their order every time, i think that’s a sign there is a bigger issue going on.
we were so excited when taco bell came to milton keynes as we used to frequent the northampton location and were thrilled to have one 5 minutes from home, but it looks like we may have to revert to driving to northampton or just eliminate taco bell from our takeout rotation as this is genuinely just so frustrating and ridiculous.
it feels like this is a useless shout into the void as far as a complaint because every time we’ve brought up an issue before, no one seems to care. but hopefully this review will help temper other customers’...
