Sizzling Grillz — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Not my first time visiting however, each time I visited the service got worse.

Importantly we start with the food, we ordered a 1/4 Burger. Pretty much a bit better McDonalds hamburger. Chips were decent. We also ordered a Lamb Biryani, notably it was my mistake for not asking about the spice level however, I think it was way too spicy than a traditional Biryani I've tried before. The flavours were there kinda, just too much spice to the point I feel sick, had to go home and just spend the rest of the night just feeling nauseous. Overall I'd just say it's a slight bit better experience than having fast food so 2/5 stars.

The environment of the restaurant was dull and demoralising, doesn't feel exciting, the front desk staff looked like they're fed up with the place as well as fed up with eachother and the customers. While we're eating we're being watched like crows draining us of a good time with the already sad moody environment.

The table service although not expected as much since there is no table service charge, though I have seen better at this restaurant. The waitress working at the time was inexperienced, we were not welcomed at the door, saw the waitress a few times on her phone before actually speaking to us... so we decided to seat ourselves in hopes to be welcomed, and instantly the poor waiting experience started to show, no forks and knives, no tissue, forgot our drink, the waitress herself didn't know the contents of the menu. We asked if they had a typical Asian starter and if they served it as we were struggling with the menu... The waitress just said bluntly "if it's not on the menu then we don't serve it". This is usually something I'd see at a very busy fast food franchise although, the time we visited it wasn't very busy at all. So service was absolutely horrendous, felt ignored and it felt like we were disliked and not welcome.

I would however go on to say that the second time I visited this place (decided to give this restaurant a second chance after our first experience) we had a very charming waiter, he was experienced, very gentleman like, seated us, brought us the menu, set up our table and asked us what would we like for starters and the meal. Honestly that second time really felt like I was at a high end restaurant and it was great just great, coming over to our table to check on us, asking if we wanted anything else, as much as it is annoying sometimes to have this kind of attention to your table, he really played it off cool and showed us a good time to enjoy our food. I wish that waiter good luck for his future, very hardworking and positive attitude.

Unfortunately a month later it seems like the place has really hit rock bottom with it's staff this time. Will not be returning and will not be recommending. This doesn't make a good first impression for any meet up with friends or a date.

I haven't tried booking an event as I've seen birthday celebrations so maybe the service is a bit better for when you pay for event booking but overall it's...

Feedback: I would like to offer a suggestion for improvement. During my visit, I found the receptionist at the payment counter could be more polite and attentive to customers' needs. A friendly demeanor and a welcoming attitude would further enhance the dining...

I had couple of deliveries from this place earlier , so we thought to celebrate one of our birthday party in the restaurant itself.

Item & one line review :

Chicken pakora - small pieces, crispy, plenty, value for money

Prawn fry - good and crispy

Fish fry - nice, crispy, tasty , value!

Lamb kebab - sizzling grilled !!

Then comes main course

Chicken tikka briyani - Soggy rice , huge half cooked rubbery pieces , disappointed. King Prawn Briyani - same half cooked prawns :(

Breads items were really good tandoori roti, garlic naan, butter naan

Chicken curry - smells fishy, so we ask them to replace it

Full of chicken pieces with less curry - no sharing possible.

For replacement - they say we can replace but you shouldn’t complain again :)

Finally paid and felt disappointed truly !!

Recently took a delivery;

chicken curry - I specially called up and said how it should be mentioning my bad experience the other day and also I written the same instruction on just eat notes

Still they sent chicken curry with 10-12 pieces, less curry with more chilly flakes, no salt and 25ml of oil floating

Egg rice - egg rice mixed with spinach or other green - zero salt

I fed up and Conplaint to just eat and got my refund .

Still given 2 stars for...
