Kebab Express — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

Ordered on a Tuesday evening and waited nearly 2 hours for delivery! Not the 45 minutes as advertised. I had to phone up twice to chase the food - the first time (after 1hr 10mins) the food sounded like it hadn’t even been cooked - “sorry I’m staring it now” was the only apology I got. Food when it arrived was nice enough, (except the stale tasting chips) and the portions were certainly large, but I wouldn’t say it was worth the wait. I wouldn’t order delivery from here again. Hands down BEST lamb doner kebab EVER!!! Quality lamb doner meat and lovely fresh crisp salad (was there a slightly sweet vinaigrette on the salad too.....yummy???) in the most amazing fluffy bread.....there's no pitta here. A delicious authentic kebab and tasty chips too. Was so full but just couldn't stop eating!!! Stopped off late one night on my way North...expected a shop so wasn't sure but soooo glad I tried it. Ordered chicken kebab with chips and cheese on Tuesday lunchtime and Tuesday evening I became severely unwell. 3 days later I'm still just as unwell and unfortunately has turned out to be food poisoning. Probably the most ill ive ever felt. The kebab itself was nice but I'm concerned that perhaps not being a busy day they either must have had the chicken out for too long, reheated it, undercooked it or just didn't handle it...
