This is a old fashioned community pub. I was a complete stranger but everyone who entered the pub acknowledge and spoke to me. At t one time they invited me to join them. On the Sunday they served up a joist of roast dinners for a really good price. The point is it was cooked fresh and on the premises. It was served up and the veg was separate from the main and sauces were also served separate. Even the children's portions. Great community atmosphere and prices especially good. Don't be put off by the outside. Inside is olde worlde cosy. A good range of real ales and gins. 6 of us had Sunday lunch and the food was stunning.
