updated review: Came today for lunch. Service as per usual was excellent and both the manager and girl were friendly and inviting. Coffees were hot and creamy. Decor is still very modern, exciting but remains with the classic Italian feel. My Spaghetti Polpette was extremely tasty with a good balance of flavours and fresh meatballs and pasta. The Tagliatelle La Vita Mia dish was also very good as well as being super hot - both portions were good. King prawns in the Tag dish were delicious and in good supply. Margherita pizza was also worth trying. Grandparents the night before also loved their meal and said how good the atmosphere was. They had the Bruschetta starter, goats cheese starter, sea bass main and chicken main. Chef Matteo knows his stuff! Old: Came last Thursday (7/3/24) day after it opened). Friendly and accommodating staff. Restaurant was very clean, modern and well lit. Food was delicious; portions were good and the menu had. many authentic Italian dishes on it (although obviously stroganoff is Russian). Tomato sauce on my meatball dish was lovely but wished some rocket/ salad came with it. Best Italian around which is equal or if not better than Prezzo and Zizi. Very nice they have Peroni on draught too. Would like clarification on whether the meatballs and pasta are indeed fresh (and British) and not imported frozen items? Prices are slightly high. Overall a very good experience and might return soon.

Lovely place very nicely decorated. Friendly staff although felt a bit rushed as soon as we sat down asked for drinks before looking and then asked again a minute later. Kalamari is amazing although feel like it’s overpriced but you do get a big portion, we shared between two and half was more than enough. Pollo Stroganoff amazing intensive tastes of the white wine and garlic and goes very well with rice. Presentation of the chicken dishes could be improved. Peppercorn sauce chicken dish wasn’t the best, could have done with a bit more time in the grill and the sauce is okay, didn’t give that wow feeling. Chips tasted awful.

I cook better Italian food at home! Wet and soggy bruschetta served with a side salad with ‘French dressing!!?!! Pasta sauce that tasted from a jar, half raw peppers and overall very dry! And not cheap!! Very disappointing! Bruschetta lessons definitely required!! Lady that served us was very lovely so at least the service was good!

Just had a meal at La Via Mia Enjoyed it a lot, hope more people will go so a good place doesn't go under. Dam nice meal in a good spot (£3 for parking unless you can nip to WaitRose and do some shopping)

Well would suggest it for a nice date night. I see they do morning breakfast as well. And English if just in to that.

Try it No I did not take photos of the food (nicely laid out) as I'm not that state of mind Stake with mushroom sauce New potato, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower

So i will put my name to this, Food : Was dam great, i normally see foods as some thing you just eat to keep going. But when you have food as good as this you understand the enjoyment of it. Service : I went at a quiet time so can not fault it, i talked open and honest and i felt happy there and not out of place. Atmosphere : Again was quiet the building is delight inside and outside, the Music was chilling.

I will suggest more people use this place. I will be BACK to try more things

well been about 6 to 8 times already and working my way down the Menu trying new things, Friendly guy. Very happy with the place and would suggest going there over FAST FOOD Joints, maybe not there in 10Seconds but its Dam good Food as it should be and you can pick to the cost .. Have a LOOK at the menu before going and Pick what you are want from the cost vs what you like. Believe me is great

PS i am from Newark on Trent myself So not some fake review and i wouldnt put my neck out for someone and write good reviews for the sake of it. I believe in this place and how good the food is and wish everyone knows it to be true. And we need to use these places around our town before...

A little disappointed, after waiting for years for an Italian in Newark we were underwhelmed. Very busy Saturday night, so loud, couldn't hear my partner talking. We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drink and food order, our drinks came and then our starters shortly after. Nice food but very overpriced in my opinion, around £10 for a starter. We then had to wait an hour for our mains to come out and then it was the wrong order so was sent back and it was bought out again to us by a different member of staff. This was extremely frustrating to say the least as we were very hungry at this point and then the order be wrong. We eventually got our mains but without the chips we had ordered. My partners chicken dish was such a small portion really not worth almost £20. I had the lasagne which was delicious but lacking bechamel sauce, the chips finally arrived and were not cooked enough so we could only eat a few. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed and not sure of what to do, a lady spoke to us at the end who was lovely but unfortunately it was too late as we'd had a bad experience. All in all, expensive for what it is, poor service and we probably...
