Had a great Sunday afternoon in a traditional Newark pub that has a modern vibe. Old fashioned bingo using playing cards (prize on 1st game £46 (£2 entry) & a free pop quiz via their app with a prize. Service was excellent but done with a smile (very friendly staff). Mr Potter the Landlord & his better half were both getting involved with their customers. It's great to see a Landlord trying his hardest to attract new trade to his establishment which can only be better for Newark. Left the choice to the server, and they went for Liver n Onions as I "probably don't get it often, living on your own." That's what I call customer care. Very good-sized portion for the price, £10 and you knew it was homemade. The atmosphere in there is phenomenal and the table service is great and quick. There is hardly any interactions with bar staff which is good, especially with the pandemic, but I feel like it should be more covid safe.
