The Queens Head Newark — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

My experience didn't happen. My wife and I were meeting my brother and his wife in Newark. They come from Grimsby area and we from King's Lynn. As usual, we plan the day's activities but plan around coffee shops for the inevitable sit-down and refreshments we oldies need; and a good place to eat. Fail to plan - plan to fail. So having settled on The Queen's Head I tried to phone them to see if we needed to book. After ringing on-and-off over 2 days with no answer I gave up. Nice pub, not changed much since I worked there 20 years ago however it has booming music and the clientele is a bit loud/might start a fight for fun, can never stay in there for more than 10min before I get the urge to leave
