Holy Moly@ The Fox and Crown — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

Every time I am sad, I get a hot burrito from here, and a nice guest ale. Before I'm halfway through, my lust for life is returned to me. Cures depression, gives me a reason to live. How could I die, if it means never getting to enjoy these burritos again? I've had like 9 in the last 4 months, and while I am not rich in money, I am rich in burrito. If you haven't had one, you haven't lived. Genuinely life changing. If you see this, just go. Please. I am well traveled and I assure you, this is the greatest food of all time. I will never be wealthy; if I am fortunate in finances, I will simply eat more Holy Moly burritos. They are genuinely that good. Better than any feeling you could otherwise experience, it's like seeing the Mona Lisa at the pyramids, while Reading festival is on. It's like seeing Chopin playing piano in your shopping center. It's like sleeping with a super model after taking 15 lines. There is no greater earthly pleasure than a Holy Moly burrito. When Mr Moly retires, it will be akin to the seventh day God rested. I cannot stress enough the sheer impact and quality that this establishment has had on my mind, body and soul. It could be poisoned and I would still lick the foil clean. Absolute bliss. This is the best place for burritos for miles! Made to order right in front of you to the exact spiciness of your choosing. Guac and salsa are made fresh in house every day so are always delicious!

Update since the move: Went in today to pick up a couple of burritos to take home and we were welcomed at the bar, the staff member was friendly and welcoming with absolutely no pushiness at all even when we were indecisive or when our child was getting impatient. The fox and crown was lovely inside and we immediately felt comfortable there, the selection of beers and ales was astounding too.

Food arrived quickly and was HUGE . flavours exactly as I remember them and absolutely perfect.

My wife and I shared a chipotle chicken burrito and a pork conchinita burrito and both were really good. The food tasted really fresh, very clean and authentic. The pork in particular, ordered just a little hotter than medium, tasted amazing. The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy inside, not exactly the place to take someone out to a romantic dinner for two, think more a place to pop into with friends for a great bite to eat or likewise with the family. Quick and easy. The burritos (we had the larger option) were a good size, we finished up pleasantly full and thought they were good value. Like the other reviewers I hope this place is a success as it was really nice to find such nice Mexican food in Newark or anywhere else in the area. We will certainly be going back and are looking forward to trying...
