Bistro No17 — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

The food here was so good, I was really surprised. I went there with my family for my sisters birthday lunch and a lot of us shared as we're the kind of people that like to try everything we can, or just plain greedy! I'm glad we were. We had a selection of starters, the fish platter was good, but Tian was absolutely amazing. I could eat that all day long! For mains I tried the vege lasagne, the mushroom lasagne, mac n cheese, and chorizo cannelloni, all of which were excellent. My cousin and niece had the vege option with spinach and they loved theirs too. My8 year old niece said it was the best food she's ever had. Much to her mums dismay I'm sure. My sons squidgy pasta was really good too and he loved it. I'm usually disappointed by kids meals, it's rare to find a good one and with such a good portion size. I ate his leftovers. The desert was also really good. I tried the banana boat - not sure what it's called, maybe a split, and I had the Ferrero Roche waffle with gelato stuccatello ice cream. Amazing fresh food the menu is extensive and has very good vegetarian option's. The staff and management are so so friendly, it was our birthdays and they went above and beyond. My friends had red wine which they said was very very good. Pastability is very clean and tidy, The only slight downside we could say is looking after wheelchair users, they had no downstairs toilet as of yet, but you do have a few steps to climb to get to them, but they do have access to same level toilets just next to the restaurant. This restaurant is a little gem and well worth a visit, its excellent value for money amazing. Pastability is under new management/ownership now , not what it used to be! came in a few weeks ago just for a cuppa and a scone, and ice cream for my daughter. absolutely perfect! today came in as a last minute decision for lunch - to eat properly. the food is to die for! freshly cooked unlike with previous owner it was not. you could taste this in the amazing quality food!! truly gorgeous enjoyed every bit. beautifully presented and perfect portion size. the restaurant itself is relaxed and inviting. very clean and comfortable. pricing too was great, very affordable! staff also very professional but super kind and friendly and good above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect for you. 10 out of 10 easy! i recommended people try this place, you wont be...
