Hidden away near the river, the Navigation pub is a great place for food, music and drinks. They have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with great views of the river. As this was my first visit to Newark, this pub did take a bit of finding, situated right at the back of a yard. Interesting architecture, directly adjacent to the Trent, with the occasional boat passing the window. Exposed brickwork and timber beams were nice. This was very very busy as there was a live music event on in town. This pub is very popular and there is a lack of seating always, so standing is usual.
