BIRTHDAY LUNCH- RUDE STAFF
Yesterday we visited ALL BAR ONE and I was extremely disappointed by the rude customer service. Having been many times before I was shocked by the older male staff members attitude. When we arrived the sought after booth tables were either reserved or dirty waiting to be cleared. We waited at another table for around 30 mins whilst looking at the menu for the tables to be reset and given the fact that staff seemed busy the tables remained dirty. I approached older male from team and asked if the reserved tables were definitely all reserved, He sarcastically laughed at me and dismissively told me ‘yes, we don’t just put the signs on them for fun’, carried in walking away from me, I followed and asked about one of the dirty tables and was told ‘no that one is not reserved’. He then walked away and seemed completely uninterested. When he returned to the bar I approached him and asked if he could clear one of the dirty tables, he responded- ‘when I get a chance’.
I waited a further ten minutes, then cleared one of the tables myself and wiped down with napkins. Staff members saw me doing this and didn’t even volunteer to wipe it with anti bacterial spray. I was approached by another customer who assumed I worked there, asking me to clear another table for them!!!
The restaurant was busy but it was unnecessary to speak to me that way, then not return to offer to clear table. This is a basic, bare minimum standard for hospitality work, if staff find it too much of an inconvenience to clear a table for customers, then they really should look for alternative employment. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but basic courtesy and professionalism should always be a priority. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression, and I will be hesitant to return. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves customer service...
Read moreBooked a table for 8:30 at all bar one. We had a wowcher deal for 4 plates and a bottle of wine. From the moment we stepped into the place, the experience was disjointed. A sign was posted at the restaurant entrance stating “to go to the bar” for seating. Unsure why the restaurant seating couldn’t be monitored by someone. We went to the bar which was full of people and managed to speak with someone who advised us he would meet us back at the entrance of the restaurant seating. We went back over, to then wait a bit to be seated while they cleaned the table. Once finally seated, we chose our order from the set menu of small plates. Only to be told 3 out of 4 plates we chose were sold out. After choosing again (having to select food we weren’t too fussed on) and ordering, we waited around 45 minutes for our food. Fair enough if it was a large group order and if it was really busy, but there was only one other couple eating and it was just the two of us ordering. We ordered the halloumi fries, chorizo and halloumi skewers, kaarage sticky chicken and wild caught Argentinian prawns. We also opted to get the sharing plate of chips (trio of fries) which was £10.50. The prawns came cold, with overcooked toast. Halloumi fries were average. Kaarage sticky chicken was the best dish of the meal but again, the last dish ‘chicken and halloumi skewers’ were a massive let down. Two pieces of halloumi and some small chorizo (£7.95 on its own) Also £10.50 for the trio of fries and they were going cold and so dry. The worst chips I’ve had at a restaurant. One pot of chips had big clumps of unmelted cheddar ontop too. Nobody checked on us throughout the entire meal and a waitress arrived to take plates while we were finishing our drinks, 10 minutes after we finished eating.
Bad service, overpriced bland/ cold food. I’d definitely avoid...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at all bar one recently, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were warmly greeted and made to feel right at home.
The ambiance was charming, with cozy lighting and tasteful decor that set the perfect tone for a memorable meal. However, what truly set this dining experience apart was the impeccable service we received, courtesy of the wonderful Paulina.
Paulina's attentiveness and professionalism were evident from the get-go. She effortlessly guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that each dish catered to our preferences.
