This little cafe is a real find. The lunch menu offers a small but perfectly formed selection of soups, sandwiches and salads. I had the goats cheese salad, which was incredibly tasty - a little on the small side, but it was plenty for a light lunch. My friend had the soup of the day and said it was delicious. NB I think they stop serving lunch at 3.30, but they closed at 4 when I was there, so that makes sense.

What I also loved was that they had gluten free options for cakes - I hadn't found a review that mentioned them, so I was expecting to have to go without! I had a brownie with a chocolate and dried fruit/nut topping which was incredibly tasty and had to be eaten in two separate sittings!

The coffee was also lovely, and they were happy for me to sit there and do some work (with the good WiFi!)

Looking forward to a return...

I've passed this place many many times and never really thought much of going in. This morning after parking the car my son thought he could smell bacon cooking and was desperate for a bacon sandwich. As a special treat we went in. Unfortunately they were unable to serve bacon sandwiches before 10.30am (not quite sure why). However, seeing how disappointed he was the staff went out of their way to find an alternative that he was happy with! Whilst some reading this might by cynical that they were just trying to ensure a sale, it was more than apparent that the staff really care about their customers leaving happy! We'll definitely be returning....I've eyed up a rather tasty looking scone as well as some beautiful looking cakes! Would definitely recommend...

Since followed on Instagram always wanted to try this place, me and my 3 year old son went there around lunch time, shop were quite busy we waited outside for like 10 minutes finally a lady left we got a small table just next to the door, but there was only one chair my son able to sit, another chair I was even able to take it out because next table selfish people moved their table too close to our table. After I ordered I stander there for at least 10 minutes and either people who works there or next table people were no attention to ask them move their table a bit. Even their cake was delicious after those I was not in the mood to enjoy. Long story short NOT BABY TODDLER FRIENDLY , I will never go back to this...

What a great stop on the way to the Leazes park. Sat inside although there is a small number of tables outside as well to watch the world go by. Make sure that you order from the counter but be warned the temptations of the cakes on display take a lot of will "to come back later"! A nice and small menu that was amazing, subtle flavours and the accompanying salad was perfect. We arrived just before lunch and not many tables free with the masses just behind us mostly having a takeaway. A long queue! Staff were super friendly and helpful and it felt like we had been coming here forever, on the first visit.

It's a shame I couldnt sit in because of covid. But overall a lovely little cafe near the entrance of Leazers Park. I definitely want to go back to try their full menu, but I got a tasty hot chocolate and some amazing cakes. One cake was coffee chocolate cheesecake which really packed a punch. The second was orange cake with peanut butter. The peanut butter didnt come through as much, but it was an amazing chocolate orange cake nevertheless.
