Myself and large group of friends visited Chachabuchi last night for a bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere was great and there was a good variety of drinks which where available on the bottomless list. Unfortunately the service of food was dreadful. Firstly we waited an hour and a half for the mains to come out, we where a group of 21 so it's understandable for it to take a while however, the actual food we received would have taken a matter of minutes to make by the looks of it. There where also 3 vegetarians including myself who didn't recieve their food until well after others had all finished. It was cold and inedible, we where expecting tacos and we handed 4 doritos, a few mushrooms and lettuce. As well as being freezing cold, the food was bland, seemed very old and for the cost and money paid by a large group was very unacceptable.

From the outside it looks trendy and inviting, but don’t be fooled. The menu promises refined cocktails, yet what you actually get is nothing but a waste of money. The Strawberry & Lychee Bellini turned out to be nothing more than prosecco with a splash of cheap cordial. The Godfather Sours? Basically a glass packed with ice where someone hurriedly poured a dash of amaretto on top. At £9.95, you’d expect a cocktail – not a student house party in a glass. The interior tries hard to give off a stylish lounge vibe, but when the drinks are this poor, all that’s left is overpriced lemonade in fancy surroundings. Advice: skip this place and go somewhere that actually takes cocktails seriously.

It’s an incredibly loud venue, catering mainly for stag and hen parties. (I was admittedly on a stag party myself..). The starter was a charcuterie board. The steaks were all overcooked and tough. We spoke to the waitress and they offered us a free round of drinks because of this. The desert were donuts and brownies. It was all pretty average and more of a bar / club venue than somewhere to go for a meal. It did have a live band come out, they got pretty good towards the end of our time there.

Just wanted to share my experiences of Floritas on Friday night 18th March 2016.

Unfortunately, Friday was a mixed bag and the experience was somewhat spoilt by a a lot of negative experiences within Floritas.

I will start from the beginning, first of all on arrival at approximately 9pm we were told that we couldn't have our table early as suggested in the email I had received, because the table was already taken by someone else so we had to sit on the couch while we waited for our table which was fine (the cocktails were great by the way and the bar staff were efficient and a credit to Floritas)

At 10pm I had to approach two front of house girls to find out whether our table was now ready. They didn't make me feel very welcome and knew nothing about my booking so one of them approached a male colleague who did know about it.

The problem was we had a member of our party on crutches and he was taken through the dance floor (he was nearly knocked over because it was busy at this time)

Once we got to our table we were slightly disappointed with the location, it was around the corner and away from the dance floor but I suppose this can't be helped but we did feel out of the way and we're not made to feel very special.

The biggest problem was the guy who showed us to our table didn't know about the disabled toilet, which wasn't a great start. Maybe this is a training issue, but I would think he should know this. He did go away and come back to tell us where the disabled toilet was but he didn't know whether a key was needed or not. Luckily my friend on the crutches had a key.

Then we were asked by a waitress do we want all of our drinks brought out at once. I think common sense should prevail here really, that's all.

What annoyed me more was the female colleague who came over and suggested that we had just sat at the table because the reserve sign had been taken away. This made us feel very uncomfortable and this was the fourth person we had dealt within an hour of our arrival so there was no continuity.

Again the drinks were great but we were sat by the smoking area and it was cold. Simply put, I'm glad I had a Jacket on.

Things only worse later on, the club was now packed and considering the email I received about behaviour and drugs not being tolerated a lot of people in Floritas were clearly under the influence of drugs (this was happening in the toilets and the bouncers seemed oblivious to this.)

The atmosphere had also changed considerably and there was a large group of lads stood next to our table, they seemed to be trying to intimidate other customers and one of the group came and sat with us invited. Again, the bouncers didn't even speak with them about their behaviour. At this point there was a lot of drunk people incapable of evening standing up, I could see this happening.

We seen one customer being sick on three occasions and the bouncers did nothing about this. It certainly doesn't look good. We told a waitress but she didn't even clean the sick up. This happened right by our table.

We had enough and left at approximately 1am, but not before I had the worst experience of the night with a rude and obnoxious member of the team.

I went outside because I simply didn't know whether there would be taxis available and lined up for my friend on crutches.

When I tried to come back inside the male member of the team put his arm across my chest and told me £7 entry. I tried to explain I had a table at the back but he was adamant that I should pay the entrance fee because I didn't have a stamp on my hand. Why wasn't I given a stamp or wristband at the beginning of the night and this embarrassing situation would not have happened.

He wouldn't listen to my explanation and before the bouncer intervened, I was told to go back outside and speak to the guy with a clipboard. He was brilliant (wearing a beige coat) he quickly resolved the matter and I was allowed back to my table but at this point I had enough of the treatment and left before...

Went for Sunday dinner. Waiting staff were all truly miserable and unwelcoming other than the hostess on the door who was very pleasant. Ordered one beef (at a £2 supplement), trio of meats (£4) and then pork and chicken. We were brought 3 beef and a trio. The guy who brought the first two plates of beef looked very confused when I explained we'd only ordered one beef and despite this, still put the plate down in front of someone. Took a fair amount of effort to get the right meal and when it came, one was missing stuffing we'd ordered as an extra so had to then wait for that. We were the only customers for most of our visit so not sure why this was all so difficult for everyone. When we finished, the waitress said 'is that everything yeah?' We did actually want dessert so not sure why we weren't offered any and she seemed surprised when we said we wanted some as if it were a great inconvenience. Bill came and it was too high. I tried to suggest the bill was wrong as it listed 4 x 2 courses all with beef supplements, and then the desserts separate with a random discount at the end. The waitress insisted that was how it should be put through the till and I could not be bothered with the argument so we paid and left. After terrible service and order mix ups you generally tend to hope you might get something knocked off, not added on but we were definitely overcharged. Such a shame because the food was actually really nice (albeit two of the meals were cold). Would not return because food isn't good enough to justify overcharging and...

Honestly worst service I’ve ever had, the lady who greeted us was lovely, started off great, we had starters at 6:30 again very lovely, however we got brought more starters 45 minutes later, after explaining we already had them and we’re waiting for mains, we then waited ANOTHER 45 minutes until I had to ask someone what was going on as we had been waiting an hour and a half since our starters for our main, he said he would go and check but instead he continued to greet people at the door and clean to sit them down, why invite more people in if you can’t cope with the amount you already have? Our mains then arrived cold and pink chicken, rice was risotto and a coconut sauce, we ordered katsu, I’ve never tasted anything like it, we couldn’t eat if, I asked for the bill and again took 10 minutes I was ready to leave but could see so many people already complaining I didn’t want to make a fuss, not one person checked in or asked us if we wanted a drink in the whole two hours, nor did they apologise for the mix up and 1:30 hour wait for our main it’s honestly the worst service I’ve ever seen and experienced, I think your lucky people pay for the food and service because it’s terrible. It was quiet when we arrived and soon got busy I understand but a little check in or ‘I’m sorry your meal took so long, or I’m sorry we made a mistake’ can go along way and would have been a totally different review. So many arguments between customers and staff I’ve never seen...
