Very disappointing experience to be honest! It was my birthday today, and my daughter and I spotted this place while mooching around Newcastle so thought we'd try it for a treat. Paid the best part of £30 for two posh fancy milkshakes and the 'Popcorn Chicken Waffle Bites'. For starters the service is pathetic - ordering for starters was a nightmare as the girl behind the counter could barely speak/understand English and I could barely understand her.. Then after the food arrived I went back to the counter to ask for salt, and they looked like I was a lunatic - one of the young staff said 'Why would we have salt in here?' I said "Er - for the chicken..." Eventually someone came with a fingerbowl of salt (seriously..) I also asked if there was possibly any bigger straws, as the tiny cardboard ones were given to us in our milkshakes, and the liquid is literally two thick to go up the straws, so we can't drink them? Answer in the negative, and then they just walked off! 🤷 The "Popcorn Chicken" was basically a couple of chopped up waffles that were lucky to have had one chicken nuggets-worth amount of chicken in PER SERVING. Major rip-off - seriously 🤨 If it wasn't for the fact that this 'treat' was so expensive and I paid on ordering before we got it, we'd have left the lot and walked out. The worst birthday treat ever, served by the most monosyllabic, uninterested and pig ignorant young...

No question about the food. It was delicious. But the customer service was absolutely poor. Other staff were ok apart from the rude small woman( I dont know if she is a manager or what).

I ordered a gelato and a millionaire in a waffle. And it happened that I needed to meet my partner and sister in law there who had chips and coffee with them. We were in the middle of our meal and all of a sudden this woman spoiled our experience telling that they are not allowed to eat chips and coffee inside. There is no sign of that rule at all and we are in the middle of our meal. The fact that I ordered from them and we are in the middle of our conversation, and for someone to tell my sister in law and partner to stop eating and I can go with them along with my order outside.we found it ridiculous. And that is not the way to treat customers. That woman spoiled, personally, my experience and would never comeback. If you will not allow food from outside, Post it! Or dont even let them enter your door if you will not give consideration with chips and coffee.

I have read previous reviews of this store and we have one thing in common. It's customer service. No matter how nice your food is, if you are rude to your customers, that would...

This is my first time I am doing a review for a shop as this time I couldn't get it off my head. I've been going to creams for years as the dishes are delicious for the prices. This time was very different. As you can see at the first photo the waffles were full of chocolate and to be fair I like when am eating my waffles to taste the chocolate more than the waffle. On the second photo although I believe it's saying everything. I asked the employee if I can have some extra chocolate as you can see the piece it didn't have nothing and his answer was " yes of course you can come to the till and pay for it but I think there is some chocolate on the piece " I explained him that when we came last time that it had more chocolate and his answer again was " maybe who ever was the last time put extra as the amount of chocolate we normally put is this". I work in a restaurant for 3 years and with my experience I've never seen this kind of...

Ordered a Coke Float, We were given this abomination. They slathered the coke float in so much strawberry sauce it turned it red!. ZERO mention on the menu of this. This is not a Standard Vanilla Coke float. If you are going to make items different to how it is listed on the menu you should warn customers. When We asked for it to be replaced with one with out Strawberry sauce we were refused as "This is how we make it here" but how are customers meant to know this is your own spin on making it if you dont tell them... it would not have been ordered if we had known you cant make a normal coke Float. Pancakes were cold and arrived ages before the abysmal coke float. Disappointing food and drinks made even more disappointing by obnoxious service. What should have been a lovely sweet treat turned into bitter disappointment and wasted money.
