Dixy Chicken — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

This review is only for the Chillingham road branch....We ordered two meals which were a Mexican chicken meal deal & a tortilla wrap meal deal which both consisted of fries... When the order was delivered the fries were missing from both meal deals & the food we did receive was stone cold.. We rang the shop to explain the food was cold & the fries were missing, and we asked for a replacement order to be sent out.. This is were it turned out to be a nightmare with this shop, they said they would only send out the chips but not the rest of the food as they could not resell that cold food & it would simply be put straight into the bin...When we told him we were not happy about only getting the chips and being left with cold food the shop then retracted there offer of sending out the chips and the staff member became very abusive to my wife over the phone. So we were then left with cold food and no chips from the order.. We had to contact just eat to try and sort out the problem with this shop.. We were then told that just eat would put us on hold and try and negotiate a deal with this shop, after approx 40 mins on the phone to just eat we were told the shop would only replace the missing food so we asked for a full refund and they could collect the cold food and take it back, to which we were told the shop would not refund us at all... This shop is only interested in getting your money and if there is a problem then it is your fault not there's… We never got the hot food or refund from this shop and as a good will gesture Just Eat give us a full refund and the food ended up in the bin, We then ordered from dominos instead...AVOID THIS SHOP AT...

Decided to get some food as was waiting for an appointment. After a confusing time trying to order a meal with a gentlemen, who barely spoke English, I was finally quoted 10 min for my order to be completed. Over 30 minutes later there was no sign of my order and no sign of any staff at all. I could see my order sat unattended getting cold for over ten minutes. Finally someone appeared after I was ready to walk out. I was the only customer there and this is the service?! Absolutely ridiculous!!

Now onto the food. Chicken was as dry as the Sahara, probably because it was sat on top of the grill for 15 minutes (I was watching). Bun was stale and fell to pieces trying to eat it. Fries were hot so at least they got that right. Put the meal straight in the bin. Absolutely disgusting. I had a similar experience at another Dixie , but gave it a chance, maybe it was the branch had an off day.

This proves to me that they have zero standards. I will never ever enter...

Generally their food is decent but the way they treat their customers is appaouling. Today we ordered the peri peri grilled combo that cost £26 and we ordered a few other things totalling out order to about £40, and since it was our 5th time ordering we got the 50% off discount. However when our food arrived half the things we ordered where missing like a 6 piece chicken, 4 strips and chicken bites and this was all apart of the combo we got. When we realised they were missing we called them to see of we could resolve the issue but in return they were rude and said we got our moneys worth by them taking stuff out of our order. We were polite with them and they were just out of order and hung up on us. Never ordering again form this place, quite a shame that the staff is the problem as my situation could have easily been resolved with one phone call form them to...
