Favourite place to go in Newcastle. The food is always so nice and comforting, at a great price as well! I have been a regular for quite some time now and there hasn’t been a time that I left disappointed. On top of amazing food, the staff is great - very friendly, attentive and caring. This applies to everyone all the way from the till to the kitchen, and the owner is the nicest person on Earth who doesn’t have a single bad bone in his body, he will always treat you like a friend and you can tell that he absolutely loves what he does. It being a family business instead of a bigger chain makes the experience so much more personal and it feels great to support it knowing well it deserves all the support it can get. I’ve walked past Kato Pan Asian Cuisine a dozen times and have admired their menu, today I finally gave it a try…I think it might end up being my new go to place in Newcastle. I’ve been struggling to find places to eat in Newcastle as I get tired of eating the same old thing but this is a great place to check out/try out. Great and fast service with lots of great cuisine to choose from. I got miso soup and the pan fried salmon with tare sauce and fried noodles. They were both so delicious! I feel like the only downside is that they give you plastic forks even when sitting in and I struggled to eat the noodles due to the flexibility of the plastic fork (I struggle to use chopsticks 😢) and I wasn’t too sure what the etiquette was for leaving whether it’s best to put your own food in the bin and leave the bowl on top of the bin or if you just leave your plate/bowl on the table. Very great place! because of how instant and quick the service is, your food comes out straight hot, fresh and ready in like 3 minutes. I have never expected such service to be this fast. I always get the Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl dish. Chicken is soft, outer breading is very yummy, the rice is very yummy, the sauce is very yummy. I have tried beef noodles bowl dishes before and it's very amazing. Plus, the nice gentleman at the back of the counter at some days when he's handling the customer's orders is the best guy ever, he is like my 2nd father, only if he was white like me :3
