Went to this restaurant for my husbands birthday. Walked in to a warm welcome. Ordered our food, a glass of wine for myself and a Diet Coke for my daughter. My husband brought his own as you can take your own. We order from the main menu. Pizza and pasta for myself and husband and asked for tomato pasta for my daughter of the children’s menu. Shortly afterwards we were told that there was no kids pasta. We asked for just some plain pasta and some tomato sauce from the pizza. We were told that this is actually what the kids pasta is and that they are not cooking anymore pasta today. (5.30pm) We decided at this point to leave as they were unable to accommodate my daughter’s order. We left and were then chased down the street to pay for the mouth full of drink that we had ordered. To be told that the kitchen is at capacity due to take aways even though there was plenty available seats in the restaurant, If they had told us on arrival that the children’s menu was unavailable we would have left straight away. But the embarrassment of having someone chase us down the street is just unacceptable. I will never return to this place and will deter anyone who mentions this place including the person who recommended this place to us in the first instance. Extremely...

Me and my husband love coming here. The atmosphere is amazing and all of the staff are so lovely. We go for coffee and cake regularly, and occasionally (I.e once a month 😅) we get food too. We have tried a lot of things on the menu and I have yet to find anything I don't like. Its clear a lot of thought has gone into the menu!
I personally love the coffee, and the sticky toffee latte is my favourite coffee I have had anywhere.
The staff are the best. They know us by name and they also remember what we said last time and ask afterwards. Its so lovely and we genuinely enjoy chatting to the staff and finding out how they are too!
Everyone and everything at Koru is so refreshing, their food and drinks, atmosphere but also their attitude. They are so down to earth and so open about their mistakes, growth and experiences. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how we get up back up again and learn from them is whats important! It is so refreshing how open they are. They also clearly care about their staff which I think is so important!
Koru is perfect for a cute date night, a cake and coffee catch up, or a family gathering. If I could give more...
Read moreA great place to eat. Italian based menu with plenty of options for vegan, vegetarian and other dietary requirements. Atmosphere is really relaxing with soft music and general bustle of a restaurant.
We ate around 4pm with our two young children, there were a few other families with young children and the staff were really engaging with them, which was nice.
Food and ingredients were really fresh, you could look into the kitchen as it was being made which is always in my opinion.
Another little highlight is that you can bring your own drinks in and pay a corkage fee, I think this one pound per bottle but I can't remember. There was also a wine menu if you don't want to bring your own.
The space inside was nicely decorated with eastern style art as well as drawings and colourings that kids had done. Loads of plants and books as well which you can enjoy while having a coffee and a cake. There also a nice outdoor space to the front.
All in all a great restaurant and...
