Local NCL — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Lovely team, been regularly visiting for 2 and a half years or so. It’s definitely the best coffee in Newcastle and surrounding areas !! I love coffee and love trying new places, my wife and I always look up most popular coffee shops to try and local is by far number 1.

I cannot emphasise how lovely their team is, not just with us customers but also the family vibe they give when treating each other.

I really love how they know the names and orders of their regulars, I feel like it’s because they are all genuine and kind.

I must say, my daughter’s babycino has been given to us for free multiple times, and promptly replaced without charge when she’s dropped it.

Finally , they are always happy to accommodate. For example, this one day my wife wasn’t feeling very well and wanted a coffee super early (8am) and because they know what she does for living and is in a rush they prepared her coffee for her and gave it with no charge !!

Quite disappointing… I’ve been twice now. The first time I ordered an ice Chai and the drink had one singular ice cube in it, so the drink was tepid. The second time I ordered an ice White Chocolate Matcha. And although my drink had more ice this time round and the colour of the drink was green, all I could taste was cinnamon? Why was there cinnamon in a white chocolate matcha drink, or am I missing something? White chocolate and cinnamon are two different flavours, if for some strange reason it’s meant to be in there, why not advertise it. I also purchased a birthday cake cookie and it was hard and over-baked, probably needed about 5 minutes less...
