The decor seemed nice as we walked in and it was vibrant and busy inside the restaurant. The staff were friendly and the table wobbly and added character to the quirky decor. When we were served our drinks they were flat but the staff were understanding and said they had just noticed the dispenser wasn't working correctly and offered to exchange our drinks for fruit juice. We politely declined the offer and said we would wait a little longer to see if they could fix it while we were waiting for our food. The server brought some tap water over served in a bottle with 4 glasses for us. One of our party poured some water and commented it tasted odd. When I then went to pour some my partner said that there was mould on the lid of the bottle. When I looked there was clearly mould on the inside of the bottle lid. I took the bottle to the staff at the bar and politely pointed out the mould and asked to cancel our order. They agreed and as we were packing away our things to leave (we had a baby with us), a member of staff came over to apologise for the technical problem with the gas for the soft drinks. I felt this was more to settle other customers and felt it was very unnecessary of her to do this. As she seemed to be making it sound as though it was just the fact we couldn't have fizzy drinks I felt obliged to point out the fact we were leaving was because of the mould on the water bottle not for the technical problem with the drinks. I feel that for there to be mould in a water bottle the hygiene and cleanliness must be lacking somewhere which is why I felt we could...
Read moreBottomless brunch yesterday food nice and so were the waiting staff. However we bought another bottle of prosecco one of the group wasn't well so 3 out of the 5 of us left the 4th went for a vape, I was asked by the manager to go and see her then to be told we weren't allowed back in as we had too much to drink not even to go to the toilet and our table had been cleared, the manager said it was bottomless brunch when I pointed out we had bought another bottle of prosecco he shrugged and walked away. We were made to pay before we started the food and drink as they apparently they have had alot of customers doing a runner. Considering I walk with a stick and have arthritis I told them I wouldn't get far but we all paid in advance. The manager seemed scared that we were drunk and would cause trouble but there hadn't been any issue not a crossed word and we had all a good time. If he can't cope with people who are drunk I don't know why he's working in the trade I've worked in the same trade and have never treated any customer like that especially when there hadn't been any issues or trouble . It just seemed we were stopped coming back in just incase we caused trouble. I even spoke to the doorman and asked if there had been an issue with us and he said not at all. It was all...
Read moreWe went on a Sunday and were greeted right away as we had a table booked we were asked if we would like any drinks. So we ordered 2 milkshakes they were promptly given to us, we were then asked what we would be ordering. we both ordered the same the standard cheeseburger and chips except one was with no salad and no onions as I'm allergic. The food eventually arrived and our orders were presented the chips had just been chucked on to the plate, and our requests in regards to the burgers had blatantly been ignored so when I got the attention of the male waiter and stated that unfortunately what we had asked for was not what we had received. To which we were surprised with his reaction which was one of "what do you want me to do"? So I asked if he could take it back and replace it for what we asked for he then tutted and said "I suppose so" . It was very dissatisfying as we had heard good things about this restraunt but for the £30 we paid we were expecting the same as the pictures they advised on there Instagram page unfortunately this wasn't the case. I've given this 2 stars as apart from the obvious the milkshakes were actually nice and the female waiter was happy to help...
