Nando's Newcastle - Central — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

This is the worst Nandos that I've ever had the misfortune of having food at because last night I went here with my partner when we were in Newcastle. She ordered a chicken burger, and it came out uncooked, and the vegetables looked disgusting. She refused to eat it, so I asked them to bring her a new one; the new chicken burger was the same. We had our food 2-5 minutes after ordering without the staff probing the chicken to check if it was cooked, which it wasn't on both of the chicken burgers. I ordered two chicken butterflies; one came out fine and tasted cooked/not dry. The second one I had was uncooked and tasted tough in my mouth. My partner had suggested we didn't eat the chicken as she didn't want us to have food poisoning. The chips we ordered also arrived undercooked. Our chips were undercooked. I can't believe a restaurant like Nando's doesn't know how to cook some chips. It's unacceptable and disgusting, and we came to Newcastle for a night away from home - our experience was the worst that we've ever had while visiting Newcastle. My partner and I complained to the staff member about the food, and we got an apology from the lady, but yeah, we won't be coming back to this Nandos. It cost us around £40 for our meal. I don't recommend this Nandos to anyone visiting or local to the area. Avoid this place when possible and...

For some reason these guys don’t use the nhs track and trace app so you’ve got to use their own QR code to book in even when it’s empty which means logging in and booking at the scene rather than the nhs app code which takes a few seconds.

I got taken to my seat by a waitress called Sarah but not told I had to order from the table using yet another QR code to get to the menu, so I was left waiting there wasting my time. The waitress concerned didn’t even help she was too busy cleaning up with closing time coming. It was left to another member of staff to realise I’d been left high and dry.

Really poor for what amounts to a McDonald’s chicken burger standard meal for 50% more cost and worse service.

Set burger bun rock hard, wilted salad, the chicken on the burger such as it was looked like an overcooked effort from a George Forman cooked by a student on their first attempt cooking away from home

Follow up - attended 2/11. Staff forgot one starter and both drinks for two people. Just shocking. When I finally got to ask a member of staff what happened to our drinks they brought them without ice despite order asking for ice. Of course with covid going on you’ve got to wait and wait for service and you can’t go to the drinks machine yourself.... so just got to wait and hope man inattentive member of staff realises you...

Very efficient, lovely, friendly staff whom go the extra mile to ensure that I was served prompt and of course with the hospitality that the Northeast is very renowned for. I had a great experience at this branch where I was for the very first time. I was trying to kill time before check-in at the hotel. Lovely, calm atmosphere. I was sat at the upper level and there was plenty of natural light coming from the large full glass façade of the building which permitted lovely views of the world go by, the square below, Monument mall, Westgate Rd & surrounding area around...
