I agree with the comment below. I would rate it 0 if I could.

We reserved a table for 5 people as this restaurant came up as a nice place to dine at. We was en route to the restaurant (2 mins away) and received a call. The man on the phone was very rude and was adamant for our quick arrival.

When we got there it was very empty. We explained we have 3/5 of us present.

The waitress wanted us to give drink orders as soon as we sat down. The experience immediately felt very rushed.

I ordered calamari and lamb shoulder with mash. The calamari was oily and the lamb was very salty.

Whilst eating, it was only 8:55pm our remaining 2 friends were coming. We had a small table so asker the waiter if we could be seated somewhere else as our friends are outside. The man abruptly said ‘NO’. When we asked why he said the kitchen is now closed. According to the website, the restaurant does not close till 11pm.

The customer experience here was atrocious. Whilst sitting there we thought to check the reviews and saw someone there and just posted a review 2 minutes ago. (The newest comment below mine). There was only 2 other small groups in the restaurant.

A man came into the restaurant to place an order at 9:10 and was rudely turned away because the chef is cleaning the kitchen.

We shared our experience with our waiter and she said ‘I am not the manager’.

We went to Gino’s D'Acampo Restaurant and what a complete different experience. It was chilled, calm and the hospitality...

The food is delicious with the grilled meat in particular being spectacular. We had patlican, humus and the yogurt dip which were all tasty and the Turkish bread was fresh and dotted with yummy nigella seeds. Perhaps bread portion could have been a touch more generous.

I had the lamb cutlets which I thoroughly enjoyed. My family had various different grilled meats which were all perfect. My youngest sister had a stuffed chicken breast which I haven't seen on other Turkish menus and this was special.

Good drinks selection with various different wines. We were happy to have good filter coffee and the famous Turkish elma cay or apple tea after the meal.

The restaurant is spacious and very comfortable with traditional Turkish music playing which creates a soft atmosphere. They also have a TV displaying different scenes of turkey.

The owner/manager of the place is a gregarious Turkish gentleman who's banter could easily be misconstrued as rudeness. However he looked after us thoroughly and gave all the ladies little Turkish eye trinkets after the dinner. A very...

Food is just about acceptable, sort of things you could get from Heron. I did get takeaway from here once but certainly not worth paying restaurant prices. Also comes with free assault. The owner/ manager delights in assaulting LGBTQ+ individuals and animals, last time I visited, I politely requested the owner move his car from my private parking space as I had a disabled relative visiting as the owner liked to save money by illegally parking in private spaces, belonging to flats, behind the establishment . Murat Can (the owner/ manager) kindly responded to my request by assaulting me and my small dog and throwing us into the main road, nearly resulting in the death of my dog. I have witnessed him assault several individuals since and have recorded evidence of this on my phone. The restaurant also frequently indulges in fly-tipping so if you hate the environment, animals and the LGBTQ+ community, this is the...

Our favourite Turkish restaurant for the past 11 years. Had our 2nd date in this venue and been going all the time ever since. Family owned business and you can tell they put their heart and soul into every dish they cook. Super atmosphere perfect for couples, business meetings ,yet amazing for families with children. Food x10 times better and flavoursome than other north east Turkish restaurants we’ve tried so far. ( and we tried them all haha) Highly recommend their Muska Boregi ( pic 2) Pastry deep fried filled with melted feta cheese Chicken iskender (pic 3) Chicken shish placed on top of a bed of sauce with cubes of their homemade bread. Mixed grill (pic 1) you’ll not be moving after this dish, insanely good.
