Based solely on food this would be a 5 star rating but after our experience with the owner had to knock it down to 1 star. We went last night for restaurant week, booked a table for 15 at 6pm a week in advance, it was a family meal out for the 1 year anniversary of losing our Auntie. Got there and the staff seemed lovely. We were shown up to our table and as our party started to arrive we asked the waiter for the restaurant week menu, he said he would have to ask the owner about it which I thought was a little strange. When he came back with the owner to our table the owner was not happy to say the least. He was very angry and said that we had not informed him when we booked that we wanted restaurant week and if he had of known he wouldn’t have taken the booking at all. It doesn’t state anywhere that there is a limit on the table size or that we had to inform the restaurant that we wanted restaurant week. He then said we had to hurry up and order as he wanted us out by 7:45! We were still waiting on people to arrive as they couldn’t get parked nearby and we still hadn’t looked at the menu. He stormed off very unhappy with our table. He was just as rude when he came back to take our orders. The staff were very rude when bringing drinks and food over to us for the rest of the evening. It was like we were an inconvenience. As the owner of the restaurant I think it’s completely ridiculous to speak to paying guests like this, our bill was still over £350, it’s not like we didn’t order drinks and sides. It put a massive dampener on what was already a very bitter sweet gathering for us. If it wasn’t for his attitude and the way we were treated I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and we all tried something we wouldn’t normally try with the options on the restaurant week menu. Everything as delicious even down to the pickle trays. So food 5 stars amazing, staff...

Asked the waiter about the not your normal masala (extra hot green chili) and the waiter warned me it would be too hot so I went for the butter chicken (I do a good one at home 😂) said it wasn’t your normal butter chicken - but he couldn’t define what that was. So he kindly said he could make the butter chicken hot for me so I obliged - The starter was 3 piece meat masala starter, it was dry I eat it as I was very hungry. We asked for 6 popadoms for our table, some very low grade mango sauce and no lime pickle arrived with 3 sorry looking broken popadoms 😆🤪 I got up to find the staff behind the till to ask for some more. They quickly apologised - I was grateful for their genuine sincerity. When the mains came the rice served on meekly thin plates. The butter chicken was mild (not hot as asked) and chicken dry like the starter. Quite a let down to the evening and the place looked a little worn down. I wouldn’t go back again. Not even a complimentary mint to finish or anything to wash the taste away a KFC style refreshing towel was provided though ! - 3 stars goes to the staff. Almost £40 each for the party of 3. I would get better from a local curry house. Usually you get was anything alright with your food? Didn’t get that I couldn’t be bothered to get back up and be a fussy customer I appreciate the staff for their warmth some more than others that were quick to move us along before the next party arrived hopefully their food was better. To give it their due they said good bye, in future I will speak in person at the end so they can improve the food experience and try not to do a Gordon Ramsay melt down at the end! I just feel the food was substandard - really not good for the price you...

Last night I somehow left my phone here. I have never in over 15yrs of having a mobile phone lost one and have my whole life in there! I didn’t realise until the next morning and was distraught, mostly because I STUPIDLY haven’t backed it up in months and could only think of all the pics of my little boys I would loose.

I also have a flip case with 2 of my bank cards, driving licence in and on this occasion I had £100 gift card and a bit of cash tucked in there... I thought I’m never going to see this again and my bank will be cleared. We had also been to several bars and in 2 taxis so honestly couldn’t remember where I saw it last.

Whilst having a panic at 6am naturally no one was answering. However at 8am the manager responded to say they did indeed have it and were keeping it safe. They would be there around 10am to return it. Which they did with a smile. I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT! In this day and age what amazing customer service and have fully restored my faith in human nature!! Thank you so much guys.

This isn’t local to me at all but I have returned here multiple times already as such a good restaurant. The food is always so amazing, always delicious and so fresh. Especially the naan breads! I am a loyal customer for life now - Ideal location to Crown Plaza Hotel if you’re staying there too and walking distance from the Arena too for a pre concert...

It's been over 10 years since I was last ate at Sachins so decided to go back for lunch. I certainly wasn't disappointed. What a fantastic meal. Started with the tikka monkfish followed by the Kasmiri goscht along with a massive naan bread. Also had the murgh shaslik, a few vegetable side dishes, rice and some more naan breads (wanted to try a few different dishes). Just as I remembered, the food was so flavoursome and delicately spiced. It was delicious. All my family enjoyed it and what was even better was there was enough left over for my tea! It brought back happy memories and I will certainly be back again soon. So thanks once again.

Five stars. Just visit here and make your own judgement. You will not be disappointed. Meat eaters, pescatarians, veggies and vegans collide. Amazing food, amazing service, huge bar, full of beers wines and spirits. Realistic prices for the quality of food. Very high standards. I had the black bean curry (no meat or dairy). Really tasty and ordered some fresh chilli on the side with no problem. Dishes are fresh, well balanced and tasty. 100% recommenced and it’s just off the town centre. Also offers take away and s lovely drink while your food is cooked in the bar / wanting area.

Went for a meal with my husband as we were visiting Newcastle to see a couple of gigs. We have to be careful eating out as my husband is gluten intolerant. On our informing the waiter of this every effort was made to accommodate. They even made him a gluten free Nan bread. Waiter was very informed about what came from the kitchen and what meals my husband could order. In addition to this the food was amazing. Best curry I’ve had in a very long time..
