The Beehive — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Went to the Beehive a few times in early 2000s but then only went back in again June 2023. Very good atmosphere and exceptional prices for pints. The only let down is the gents toilets, would presume ladies is the same. I was on my own so had to take pint in there so it wouldn't get collected or pinched but nowhere to set it down in the cubicle and floors were awash with pee and water hence wet feet. Small floor area but they could extend loos outwards to the area in front of the loo doors and thus would increase floor area as that area not used too much anyway. You need a shelf or two and a mirror. Get it modernised, we are in 2023 not the Victorian era!!! Also woul be better for...

Excuse me, I would like to bring a matter to the attention of the owner regarding the hiring practices of the establishment. During my visit, I encountered an unpleasant situation at the bar. While enjoying a drink with friends, I politely approached the staff to request a glass of water. Regrettably, my request was met with an inappropriate response and the use of offensive language.

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received and feel compelled to discuss this matter with the owner. I kindly request an opportunity to engage in a constructive conversation to address this issue and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

Flat lager - young staff explained that it was because it was wet glass. Either way the drink was not acceptable despite 2 attempts of a new glass or drink which was discounted due to the reason previously mentioned. Looking around the pub, everyones drink was flat. The bar staff lifted drinks at the bar to show that in fact everones drinks were flat to show it was not only ours. So.... Either dry the glasses so they are not wet!! Or put the gas on which obviously has ran out!! We will not be coming here again. *note to all.... Please be aware of your rights. Do not accept poor quality...
