Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Newport

This Costa is located on the first floor of the Royal Gwent, near the main C/B block lifts and near the Minor Injuries Unit.

I visited a few times while visiting a relative who was in hospital here. There was often a small queue and only one member of staff behind the counter while the other cleaned the tables. This meant that it sometimes took a while to get your drinks made. Despite the occasionally slow service, the staff here were very friendly and helpful and always paid attention to orders and asked for clarification of different milks etc if needed.

Most people seemed to order drinks to takeaway (myself included) so there were always plenty of seats available...

Absolutely fabulous place to have a coffee break here! I have visited this place like 50 times so far and is always a pleasure to be here! The coffee drinks are amazing. It looks a bit pricey for the first sight, but when you meet and being served by the gorgeous, professional staff….! ♥️ Thank you so much for being a perfect example of great, valuable hospitality to follow! Not happy with the way you get spoken to, its almost 6 oclock and they have started to close off off parts. Where you can sit down and have a chat. The one lady with gray hair keeps giving myself and my partner drity looks even though we are not doing anything wrong. The people who work in costa coffee in the royal gwent need to be FIRED i will not be coming here again!! The new owner who is now @coca cola Please make a change...
