Transylvania — Restaurant in Newry, Mourne and Down District Council

Yesterday was my first order from transylvania in over 4 years and overall it a pretty positive experience.

The burger was very good, if not very greasy which soaked the bun a little; although they failed to add the extra cheese I'd paid for. (3.5/5) As per the Chicken Curry Chip, I found this very dry and lacking in flavour. The chips themselves were quite soggy and looked like they'd been cooked in old oil. Not impressed unfortunately. (2/5) I also had battered sausages which I have to admit we're fantastic. Proper old school chippy style batter, and come highly recommend. (5/5) The nuggets were also good and well seasoned, though some were a little rubbery. (3.5/5)

As for delivery, it was unfortunately well overdue as I'd ordered online. My order was almost a hour late with no notification from the takeaway which was quite poor if I'm honest. The delivery man though was very pleasent to deal with.

Overall a good experience but looses points some of the reasons...

Shawarma Chicken Wrap (chicken, chips, pickles) - first time i thought that was mistake because inside wasnt pickles, cucumber. I choosen with all salad but without onion, where onion was added. Today I ordered again the same wrap with all salad but without onion and guess what... again inside was not pickles, cucumber and chips ...but was onion which I didnt order. Additional, the whole wrap was broken, greasy, dripping with sauce and it was impossible to hold it in hands and eat it normally. If I wanted a meat kebab on a tray, that's what I would order. Chicken curry chips - I got only chips with few drops of sauce - they said was no chicken left. 🤯. Wraps was only rolled-up no closed on sides. After when owner was chenged, restaurant...

Ordered food, no show, rang-will contact driver. Then took phone off the hook... Food showed 1.5 hours later with it's entire contents stone cold. Condensation soaked wrappers, curry thick and chips stuck. Continued to ring and ignored. Gave this place a chance after few orders before that were abismal, Curry does not taste like curry. Likely a new chef in the recent months. plenty reviews recently. General consensus is the food is poor across the board . Then I was also shocked to hear of their recent food rating of 2!! Definitely will stay clear of this...
