Costa Coffee — Restaurant in North Kesteven

After ordering and finding a table with the least amount of used cups and plates on them, I sat and tried to enjoy my quiet coffee and a cheeky bit of cake after a long day. When the waiting staff finally came round to tidy up, a young woman asked if I could take my tray. I didn't refuse, in fact I said nothing. She then proceed to be rude and impolite saying that she would leave the tray if it was that important to me and slammed it back on the table. I watched her leave, and still said nothing. She shot me a very filthy look and stormed off to the kitchen. I did not deserve this treatment as I said nothing to this young lady. This spoilt my drink as I didn't want to stay in a place with such hostility. I returned my untouched coffee to the counter and left. I did keep the piece of cake. I will never return to this...

EDIT, unfortunately, one of our last visits wasnt very good. Its been a year since this incident and my son wont go in anymore. We were being served by a staff member and my son was aking about the "pick a stick" game they had and he was told to "be quiet" whilst she was inputting our order on the till. My son was absolutely gutted by the way he was spoken to. The few times I have been in alone since, the staff aren't as welcoming or helpful as before (see below) and seem to be fed up in thier job. I will leave previous review, as it was a nice and friendly place to go. Costa is costa wherever you go, the food and drinks are always good. Staff are lovely. Always a quick and friendly service. Normaly do take away but if we stay in it's always clean and warm / kept cool...

Brilliant staff, really helpful and engaging. Management need to seriously consider investing some proper money into this outlet though. Staff are constantly battling with poor infrastructure (heating down at the moment), faulty equipment and the whole place needs a refresh. Similar sized Costa in Bourne recently moved up the High Street to a newly kitted out Costa. Spend some money in Sleaford - similar sized market town with a loyal customer base in a Costa that looks very tired.
