First visit to Emily's and a very pleasant one it was. After a warm welcome we decided to go with the Scottish Breakfast, an unusual offering some 240 miles from the border. The black pudding was divine and upon asking about this, the Scottish lady serving us (Emily?) explained that they got it delivered down from Scotland especially. I felt the sausage slice was a little bland, but that's personal taste. A lovely large pot of tea to go with it and very near to perfect. Note from my wife, excellent decaf coffee from beans, not instant, so another big plus.

It was perfect. Went there to celebrate mom’s birthday. The afternoon tea was superb… they catered for 20 family and friends. The most perfect setting, beautifully decorated an endless flow of tea, served with a great smile. The selection of sandwiches, cakes and the most scrumptious homemade sausage rolls. The staff were absolutely amazing. A massive “Thank You” to Emily’s Bakehouse. Looking forward to having lunch with you again

Had a great breakfast outside in the warm September sunshine. If you've not tried it before, I recommend the Scottish breakfast. The "haggis" round slice was superb. Otherwise the more traditional English will surely meet your expectations. Breakfast in the foreground of the photo is the Scottish one! BTW the toast was unexpectedly excellent too, worth another photo.

Surprised by the abrupt attitude of the owners. They clearly believe themselves beyond reproach and not interested in their customers views. It is never a good idea to ask you customers ‘how was everything’ if you have no interest in hearing what they have to share.

Even less appreciated by your customers is then to become rude and hostile when you don’t believe that anything in your establishment could possibly be improved!

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review although making my case perfectly!!

Instead of thinking about service recovery you choose to attack us and represent the visit completely differently and absolve yourselves of any responsibility!

Tucked away just off the High Street in Sleaford, a cosy cafe that is well prepared for receiving customers following all the Covid 19 rules and regulations. Welcoming staff and a simple and straightforward menu.Their signature dish is fabulous... thick toast soaked in maple syrup with lashings of bacon. Absolutely fabulous, something to try. A good breakfast menu along with the usual scones, cakes, teacakes etc and light lunches. All well presented and generous portions. However, I am gluten free and found my choices very limited which was disappointing, but cafe still worthy...
