Surprised by the abrupt attitude of the owners. They clearly believe themselves beyond reproach and not interested in their customers views. It is never a good idea to ask you customers ‘how was everything’ if you have no interest in hearing what they have to share.
Even less appreciated by your customers is then to become rude and hostile when you don’t believe that anything in your establishment could possibly be improved!

Read moreFirst visit to Emily's and a very pleasant one it was. After a warm welcome we decided to go with the Scottish Breakfast, an unusual offering some 240 miles from the border. The black pudding was divine and upon asking about this, the Scottish lady serving us (Emily?) explained that they got it delivered down from Scotland especially. I felt the sausage slice was a little bland, but that's personal taste. A lovely large pot of tea to go with it and very near to perfect.
