We visited Bombai Indian Street Food on a busy Saturday night without a booking and were pleasantly surprised by the short wait—only around 10 minutes before we were seated. The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were polite, friendly, and attentive. Our order consisted of a few starters, but each dish made a strong impression. The paneer tikka was a highlight—beautifully seasoned and full of bold flavors. The chicken 65 was equally satisfying, with a perfect blend of spices that really delivered on taste. The onion bhaji was delightfully crispy and fresh, adding a nice crunch to our meal. Although we only sampled a few items, the quality was top-notch, and it left us wanting to return to try more, especially the butter chicken. If you're in Norwich and in the mood for authentic, flavorful Indian street food, Bombai is well worth a visit! After our second visit to Bombai Indian Street Food, it’s safe to say this spot has truly solidified itself as a favorite. This time, we tried the Butter Paneer and Chicken, and both dishes were an absolute delight, reflecting the authentic essence of Indian street food with flair and flavor. Both the Butter Paneer and Butter Chicken were standout dishes, embodying everything you'd hope for in a true, authentic butter masala. The sauce in each dish was incredibly thick, rich, and flavorful, a level of quality that immediately stands out among similar dishes we’ve tried elsewhere. Each bite was layered with spices that tasted fresh and vibrant, capturing the complexity of Indian cuisine while still maintaining a comfort-food feel. For lovers of butter masala, these dishes are certainly top-tier. The paneer had a wonderfully soft texture, and the chicken was tender and juicy, soaking up all the goodness of the sauce. The portion size was also generous, giving great value and satisfaction for the price. The service was as memorable as the food. Each staff member was polite, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience. Special mention goes to Jot, whose welcoming personality and professionalism truly made the experience exceptional. He was thoughtful and knowledgeable about the dishes, making us feel well taken care of from start to finish. In fact, we want to extend our best wishes to Jot in his studies; with his talent and dedication, he’s bound to excel in hospitality and management! Bombai Indian Street Food is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Indian cuisine with a modern twist. The combination of flavorful dishes and standout service makes this place a gem, and we can't wait to return and explore more of the menu. For us, Bombai now ranks among the top Indian eateries in town. Would We Recommend? Absolutely! Whether you’re an aficionado of Indian flavors or a newcomer, Bombai’s Butter Paneer and Butter Chicken are worth a try, and the team makes sure every visit feels special. This is one place where you’ll leave satisfied and already planning your next visit.

Finally! A genuine Indian restaurant in Norwich that serves non-vegetarian food as well! Absolutely love this place, been there 3 times in the last 3 months and recommended it to loads of friends as well. The lunch menu was limited but delicious, I would recommend going for dinner. Authentic Indian food, good spice levels to accommodate all palettes, the chicken tikka, butter chicken, garlic naan, vada pav, bang bang cauliflower, bombai house chaat, were all delicious. Pani poori was a small portion of 4 only and lacked flavour in the pani and the poori fillings. Chicken 65, prawn koliwala & Amritsari fish were on the spicy side and they were a little overcooked/dry. I would still give the restaurant a solid 4.8/5! Will definitely go back more to try more dishes. Ash’s service was fantastic, we had a big birthday celebration and service was excellent, and visited a couple more times after! Lovely music and ambience. There are quite a few tables and some are close together however I’d rather get in and eat there with people next to me than not get seated! Reasonably priced so that it won’t break the bank!

We used to be regular customers — Bombai was our favourite Indian restaurant in Norwich. That is, until we placed another delivery order yesterday evening. The food we received was completely off — strange in texture, swimming in oil, and the taste was just wrong. We didn’t want to take any risks, so we ended up throwing it away. It genuinely didn’t look safe to eat. What was even more disappointing, though, was the way the restaurant responded when I reached out on Facebook. Their reply was rude and unprofessional. They claimed the consistency and appearance had changed because the food had “cooled down during delivery” — which is simply not true, as it arrived warm. I might have been willing to forgive a one-off bad meal — it was a Sunday night after all, and people might’ve just wanted to go home early. But I can’t excuse the dismissive attitude and lack of basic courtesy in their response. I’ll just leave a photo of what we received here, so anyone reading this review knows what they might end up getting.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bombai on a complete whim, and I am compelled to share my extraordinary experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and elegance, setting the stage for what turned out to be a gastronomic journey unlike any other.

The heart of any Indian restaurant is its curry, and I must declare, without a shadow of a doubt, that the curry at this place is unparalleled. The rajestani laal mans combined with the garlic naan was the best curry I have ever tasted. I consider myself somewhat of a curry aficionado, having sampled Indian food in many fantastic uk restaurants, as well as in India, but the flavors, the depth, and the sheer authenticity of the curry I had here were beyond compare. Each bite was a revelation, a perfect balance of spices and aromas that transported me to the vibrant streets of India. I found myself savoring every mouthful, reluctant for the experience to end.

Equally impressive was the impeccable service provided by the staff. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their cuisine, they guided me through the menu with enthusiasm, suggesting dishes that perfectly complemented my preferences. Their dedication to ensuring every guest’s satisfaction was evident, making my dining experience not just a meal, but a delightful culinary adventure.

The ambience of Bombai deserves special mention. The restaurant is a masterpiece of design, blending traditional Indian aesthetics with modern elegance. The soft glow of ambient lighting, the rich colors adorning the walls, and the subtle aroma of spices in the air created an enchanting atmosphere that enhanced my dining pleasure.

In summary, Bombai offers more than just a meal; it offers a captivating odyssey for the senses. The combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and enchanting ambience creates an experience that lingers in the memory long after the last bite. For anyone seeking an authentic, delightful, and truly memorable Indian dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Bombai. Prepare your taste buds for an adventure – you won’t be...
