Update to owner response (01/03/2019):
As there is response from owner. Thank you for assuming for who is what. I need to explain again, that the only thing written on menu about specific tea I ordered is: 170. Pot of Green Tea. It doesnāt say that there is Large or Small teapot, and it doesnāt say anything about teapot volume. Before ordering it was clarified that I will order ONE teapot (the ONLY CHOICE FROM MENU) with two cups. Iāve never been informed that if I will order one teapot with two cups I will receive Large teapot (which is not on menu) and be charged twice. Instead of sorting this issue with a menu to avoid further confusion, Iāve got reply from the owner of restaurant where they assume that the person I was with in restaurant is my girlfriend. I am not sure why owner went to āattackā pointing out reviews about Primark or Nero.
How can people respect such restaurant where instead of sorting out this issue by simple apologising and editing menu, explaining that there is different teapot sizes, restaurant owner decides to comeback with such response. And as owner response said, yes all this just because of £2.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I had high expectations from restaurant reviews, however got really disappointed when visited this place. If you want no privacy, this restaurant is just for you. Small area completely overfilled with sitting places and tables. Beware of what you ordering on menu, because waitress might not explain how pricing system works. Pot of green tea cost £2, however as two people been drinking it, she counted it as two teapots even though there was one. Mainly bad experience with interior and service, however sushi was nice. I would recommend to take food away instead of eating it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne word Rude! We popped our heads in to see if there was a table for two. The waitress asked if we had reservations, we said no. She went to serving area to speak to someone and all I saw was a hand come over the top in her direct 'wagging ' his finger at her indication no. She looked a bit embarrassed (I could be wrong, but I would be mortified if I knew a customer had seen this reaction) Not the way to deal with customers who clearly don't need our business, or care. Shame as we had often wondered how nice it would be to visit. Good luck with your business, I hope its always so busy that you can rudely turn away paying customers.
Update to response from restaurant part one Any establishment that thinks it's okay to berate their staff in from of customers isn't one I want to visit. My review was factual regardless of who it was aimed at. The one star review stands
Update restaurant response part 2 Haha hilarious This just sums up the kind of rude people you are. Please read my review again poppet I am not sure I mentioned "raising your voice' I believe I said 'gesture ' Pop back and have a proper read . Dear me. Do you realise that other potential customers are reading your responses? Sigh. Dear oh dear words fail me. I am sorry (not sorry)you're upset and can't take feedback. May I suggest that you stop people writing reviews if you can't cope with truthful feedback. Please feel better soon :D š I look forward to more unprofessional ranting from you Just one more thing, try not to contradict yourself next...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went here for a birthday meal and basically ordered everything on the menu, I can't honestly say any of it wasn't delicious. The inside is very nice and cosy, very reminiscent of restaurants in Japan which are always tiny. The staff were very attentive even though we sat upstairs, the poor girl must have legs of steel as I can't imagine how many times she has to walk up and down them.
We ordered takoyaki and the ebi kushi to start with, they were both delicious and the takoyaki were very authentic. Then we had a small mixed tempura with a small salmon teriyaki. The vegetables in the tempura were cooked perfectly and they include asparagus which was an interesting twist. The salmon was also falling apart and the salad dressing was brilliant. We sampled the sushi and can I just say the fish to rice ratio is amazing, you get so much fish on the nigiri and sashimi, they really are generous with it. We also had the spider rolls which are very similar to Ciscoes tempura soft shell crab futomaki but the taste was very different, I'd say both crab rolls are equally good. We also shared a tonkatsu ramen bowl. This is the best ramen I've tasted outside of Japan. The broth was thick and rich, you could tell it had been loving cooked for a long time. The noodles were just the right firmness and the pork tasted ridiculously good.
We washed it all down with the house hot sake which was very nice. Honestly it was a brilliant restaurant and if you like Japanese food, this is where you're going to get some of the...
