We booked at table on 20th sept for 7pm for my sisters birthday. When we came and said we had a booking he just pointed to our table. Very unprofessional. Not only that he wasn't in uniform! Joggers and a Nike top. The front of the house is the most important! It's the first thing your customer sees and the first interaction! First impression for us- shocking!
We had our drinks order taken, we then waited for someone to take our order no one came but then we saw we order online. This was not explained to us. Maybe if the front of house took the time to show us our table and explain this to us!
We ordered the food, but we wanted to let them know that the starter was apart of the main. when we did the person wearing a black Nike top ( he the person that we spoke to when we entered). He was extremely rude, we said we had a show to see and his response was. Well so has everyone else. We was nice and explained we was just saying. He then walked off. Attitude was appalling!!! We are paying customers that's never been!!
we then questioned again how long our food will be. His response is. It's not fast food. He spoke to us so bad! Telling us he come in on his day off he was extremely rude and cocky! We was simply explaining we waiting a hour for food and still nothing. No manger should speak to anyone like he did us. Making us feel so small. He kept saying over and over again that he come in on his day off If he did come in on his day off at least where uniform- I've been a store manager for years. You do not speak to any customers how he did to us! You don't come in without uniform. You don't tell customers it's your day off. He was so unprofessional!! Managers should lead by a good example
This is unacceptable behaviour and I will be expressing my frustration if anyone was to ask me about...
Read moreGood food, but beware if you have a, buy a gift voucher. I was really excited about dining here, but that dwindled once we arrived. We were shown to our table by a very polite chap whose shirt was creased which didn't give a good impression. We informed him that we had a buy a gift voucher, his reply was oh and he quickly snatched away the menues and shot off to find us the greatly reduced ones for voucher. I sat down at the table only to find that the chair leg was broken. Good job I felt it straight away, or it could have totally collapsed. I swapped it for another and informed a member of staff. When we looked at the buy a gift menu, me excitement totally disappeared, we had the choice of 4 starters (non of which were Vegan), approximately 6 mains, only one was vegan ( pepperoni pizza) and then 3 deserts ( non Vegan). As my partner is Vegan, we asked another server if there was anything they could, he didn't know, and fetched the manager. I asked the manager if it would be possible for us to order from the main menu and pay the difference. She said, "No, the system won't allow it." She said that my partner could pick a Vegan starter from the main menu, but I had to stick to the very limited and basic options. The food was very nice when it arrived and everyone else's in the restaurant also looked good. It's just a shame we wasn't able to order what we would have liked. The manager did give us a free drink as an apology. My partner had an Appletize which came in a can. The can and had all sorts of grime on the top, which my partner started clean out before opening. Thankfully, a server spotted this and swiftly changed it. As you'll see, this wasn't a great experience. My closing comment would be that the buy a gift voucher is a con and the beware. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll...
Read moreI feel awful writing this review because the x2 gentleman working there/ serving were very friendly however the overall experience was not great. I had made a note on the booking that it was for a birthday, there was no acknowledgement regarding this. Items of food we ordered, were forgotten and not brought out until half way through the meal. a few of us ordered the Crab Ravioli- which was lovely but was cold. Ran out of items, Vanilla Ice-cream- on a Saturday night- I'd assume this item would be a basic thing to stock as its an ingredient on most of the desert options. removing items from the order- a Fudge cake for one of the kids with no reason why and then when we asked where it was- we were told, they were told to take it off? by who? the kid was sat waiting for it. The Ladies toilet was disgusting, there was loo roll all over the floor but no loo roll available to use- my daughter had used the loo and we needed loo roll and I went to ask for some- waited 10 minutes for this to come, it didn't so I snuck in the men's toilet to pinch some loo roll. When I got home and checked over the bill, it doesn't appear the kids 3 course meals had been discounted to the £8.50 as shown on the menu and there was a service charge that I wasn't alerted to- I am happy to pay service charges when I am told about them and am happy with the service- I don't like to be cheeky so wouldn't have asked for this to be taken off as that would have been awkward but it is naughty to charge this without pointing it out to the bill payer or even asking if we were happy with...
