Overall: One of the best Caribbean themed restaurants I have been to in the UK. The music was the cherry on top. The place was just buzzing. Drinks: We got a Koko Kolada, which was a coconut rum based drink and a Pineapple Daiquiri, also a rum based drink. The former was amazingly refreshing and surely gave a glimpse of what a sunny day at Jamaica would be like! The daiquiri was OK. Starters: Nothing fancy, just got chilli squids. It was OK. Surprisingly they spread some yoghurt/curd on top of the fried squids but it worked well. Mains: We got a Katsu Curry and a Goat Curry which both came with coconut rice and beans along with it. The goat was super soft and less spicy compared to the katsu dish. The latter had fried chicken in a super hot and spicy gravy - thus necessitating the use of napkins! But taste was just amazing. Desserts: Chilli Brownie and Poached Pineapple. The latter was not a disappointment as I expected but the brownie was delicious! Special shoutout to Oana who took care of us all along. Note: The security guy at the entrance was very rude. He was not allowing us to enter even though we had a reservation. Then another security guy barged in and asked us to talk at the reception.

Always have a great meal here. Food is great, drinks are good especially during happy hour. Wheelchair accessible and downstairs accessible toilet makes it ideal (as in a lot of town centre restaurants, the main bathrooms are upstairs). The staff is always friendly and helpful. My only issue is the app never works in the restaurant when I need it. This place can be extremely busy especially on Saturdays (all day in warmer weather) so I highly recommend booking in advance. We had rum runner cocktails, brown chicken, katsu curry, sweet plantains and corn fritters. Spent £52 (including a beer, not pictured). The food has just the right level of spiciness and. Is SO tasty. Vegetarian and vegan options across the menu.

The food was amazing! The flavors blended nicely and they were good sized portions. The Kingston chicken was impeccable with a crunchy outer layer, yet moist and well cooked inside. It was well seasoned and we would order it again for sure. We also recommend the jerk wings, very flavorful and the jerk sauce complimented them nicely. The last thing we had was the shrimp and potato curry with rice. It was rich and flavorful, not too heavy at all, and well garnished The only downside was that our service was not good as they never came to check on us unless we waved somebody down, which even that took awhile. Other than that, the food was amazing!

In all honesty I wasn't a fan of the food, but that's probably more personal taste rather than there actually being anything wrong with it because it looked delicious. It was just far too spicy, it wasn't enjoyable for me at all. I was disappointed you've taken away cocktails that I've loved in the past but what I had was lovely. Paulina, our server, worked like an absolute trooper, she was so busy and serving everyone on her own, which must've been so stressful, but we had amazing service from her, she's friendly, helpful, an absolute credit to your company.

It was our first time at the Nottingham Turtle Bay & it won't be our last. Manageress Rhi runs a fabulous team and we were so pleased with her and the staff. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, experienced staff, fabulous, tasty, well cooked food & absolutely lovely cocktails. Oh we will be back and will be recommending to our friends too. We are in our 50's and have high expectations, we're not easily pleased, we expect good standards and I can happily say they were achieved here. I'm looking forward to our next visit already.

Love the bottomless brunch here. Extensive list of cocktails (which i love them all) to choose from & prosecco & red stripe. Food is always very good. We was there St.Patricks day and it was very busy however Sophie was our waitress and she did an AMAZING job, was so happy with the service. She was fast getting our orders in so made the most of the 2 hour slot and she even put my phone on charge for me whilst there, which helped me out loads. Booked in again twice over the next 6 weeks. My favourite bottomless in Notts by far!
