Well where do I start… I have been to a few bottomless brunches but this has by far been the worst! The service was terrible, the manager was rude and there was barely anyone else in the restaurant. Within the first hour we had received 1 drink as well as the welcome drink since 2 of our orders had gone missing. When the food arrived we weren’t as much as given a smile by the manager, not to mention we had no cutlery and weren’t checked on once when food had arrived. When we asked about ordering more drinks since our last ones hadn’t come the staff looked as if they couldn’t care less to the point where when we asked about the service, the server tried to make excuses due to staffing but would then spend 10-15 mins with other tables talking with them. To top the whole experience off we were told to pay 20 mins before our time had finished. As well as this we felt we had been forgotten as the other tables that were in the restaurant had a few more people on and they had been seen to 3x more than we had. I think the only positive I can take out of this is that the food was lovely and there were no complaints at all in that department. I would recommend here for food only. Never will we be coming for a bottomless...
Read moreOverall: One of the best Caribbean themed restaurants I have been to in the UK. The music was the cherry on top. The place was just buzzing.
Drinks: We got a Koko Kolada, which was a coconut rum based drink and a Pineapple Daiquiri, also a rum based drink. The former was amazingly refreshing and surely gave a glimpse of what a sunny day at Jamaica would be like! The daiquiri was OK.
Starters: Nothing fancy, just got chilli squids. It was OK. Surprisingly they spread some yoghurt/curd on top of the fried squids but it worked well.
Mains: We got a Katsu Curry and a Goat Curry which both came with coconut rice and beans along with it. The goat was super soft and less spicy compared to the katsu dish. The latter had fried chicken in a super hot and spicy gravy - thus necessitating the use of napkins! But taste was just amazing.
Desserts: Chilli Brownie and Poached Pineapple. The latter was not a disappointment as I expected but the brownie was delicious!
Special shoutout to Oana who took care of us all along.
Note: The security guy at the entrance was very rude. He was not allowing us to enter even though we had a reservation. Then another security guy barged in and asked us to talk at...
Read morerecently visited Turtle Bay, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming — the perfect mix of laid-back island vibes and lively energy.
We were served by Jack, Adriana, and Joe, and they were all absolutely brilliant. Jack was super attentive and made great recommendations from the menu, especially when it came to the cocktails. Adriana had such a warm and friendly energy — she checked in just the right amount without being overbearing. And Joe made sure everything came out quickly and smoothly, even during a busy time.
The food itself was bursting with flavor — bold Caribbean spices, generous portions, and everything cooked to perfection. The jerk chicken and sweetcorn fritters were standout dishes, and the rum cocktails were dangerously good (in the best way). They also cater well for dietary preferences, which was a big plus for our group.
Overall, it was a top-notch experience. Turtle Bay definitely delivers on both food and service, and thanks to Jack, Adriana, and Joe, we felt really looked after. I’ll definitely be coming back — and bringing more friends with...
