I ordered via Uber Eats and the total came to almost £30 for one chicken burger, and a 7 tender meal with bottled water, the only free drink option on the meal deal. For that price (for fried chicken) you are expecting top quality; delicious food that's cooked with care.
I am hugely disappointed with the quality of this and, frankly, quite annoyed. The burger was really disgusting and quickly became inedible; it was absolutely drowned in sauce and onions, to the point that the bun was peeling away when I tried to look inside of it (a soggy, disgusting mess). I bit into it and was shocked at how overpowering the BBQ and onion taste was, and didn't particularly enjoy it, but thinking "I've paid almost £11 for this alone" I took a second bite. I couldn't finish the second bite as I started retching from a foul taste I was experiencing; it was very clearly a dirty oil taste. The chips also had the same dirty, stale oil taste. I spat the second bite of the burger out into the bin, which is where the rest of the burger and the chips will go. All for £30. Shocking. The only things that actually tasted nice were the coating on the tenders and the sauces. But even the tenders were sorry excuses for fried tenders. They were limp and with the coating falling off like sludge onto the chips, and were more alike cheap frozen chicken goujons; small and soggy. The whole thing was also cold, which might've been a delivery issue rather than restaurant; but it arrived quickly and directly so I'm not sure about that. This would've been a poor experience from a cheap takeaway, that set me back something like £15. This was double the price and most of it is inedible. Really shocking. I rang the restaurant and spoke to them about it to the lady on the phone, and to her personal credit she was friendly and apologized. She sounded despondent, almost as though this happens often, and I could hear the sounds of laughter and messing around in the background which sounded like staff. I suspect the people in the kitchen, despite being given everything they need to succeed from the brand, are doing the opposite of that. Perhaps just a bad evening, who knows, but I am shocked with the...
Read moreWe waited 43 minutes for our food last night. I understand at 6:45pm on a Saturday you will have to wait a little longer. But for a fast food restaurant nearly 45 minutes is unacceptable. We were given no information about this wait when we ordered. The girl who took our order was nice but we could barely hear anything she was saying when asking about the sizes of fries and sauces. The syrup for the Coke Zero was gone so it was pretty much just flavoured water. We could see the window where the food was coming out and it was so slow. There were about 2 meals coming out every 5-10 minutes. Everyone around us was also waiting 40 minutes ( we overheard a conversation between another customer and server). We went up to ask how much longer the wait would be after just under 40 minutes because we weren’t expecting to spend an hour in a fast food restaurant and were late to meet some friends. Thankfully ours was the next order coming out and the server gave us extra chips to try and make up for it. What was really disappointing is no one informed us of this wait. Clearly there was some issue in the kitchen and not a manager to be seen. I felt bad for the servers, it obviously wasn’t their fault as they’re not the ones making the food, but the communication between staff and customers was definitely lacking. If we had known we’d be there as long as we were we would’ve gone somewhere else. The food was really good when it finally came, it was the only saving grace of the trip. We’ve been before quite a few time and it is normally slower than other fast food places, in our experience we’ve waited anywhere between 7-15 minutes but we were fine waiting the extra 5-10 minutes it would typically take because the food is worth it. But it’s definitely not...
Read moreWe travelled to Nottingham for the christmas market and came here for lunch. We had never heard of it but gave it a try. We ordered at the touch screen to dine in and it told us to grab a number from the designated point. Couldn't see a designated point or any number signs so grabbed a random one I can only assume had been used and dumped. A nice girl came over with our sons fruit shoot but no cups for us so we assumed they would come with the food. Food arrived, still no cups and none near the drinks machine. My partner approached a girl working there to ask where he could grab some cups and she rudely just pointed at the front till and said "there" without even looking at him. Whilst we were eating we noticed the same girl being very rude to other customers including children, walking away from people pulling faces, putting her hands over her face when being asked for sauce, rolling her eyes and swearing under her breath. Even just after doing basic things like giving people their food. I saw multiple people looking shocked at the way she was being with them. This went on the whole time we were there and made a very bad atmosphere and made us uncomfortable every time she walked by or sorted out the bins right next to us. We spent just over £30 which was a shock for what we were ordering considering it was just chicken and chips for us and a 1 year old, but it was made a lot worse by the awkward atmosphere. My partner then took our son to the toilet before leaving and said the toilets were in a disgusting state. We had also heard a group of men prior to this mention that they "must have been like it all day" Very very poor hygiene, service and atmosphere for what we hoped would be a nice...
