Soooooo these guys didn't have the book I wanted for book club but they ordered it in and recommended another book shop that may have it.

I really like this particular branch of waterstones, it smells nice (a big thing when visiting book shops), it has a cafe on the top floor and the escalators are transparent from outside so you can see how it all works if you really want to. I also like all of the glass on the side of the shop.

If you time it right and buy the book of the month, you get a free coffee too, which is quite a nice touch.

They have author events which I've not been to, so I can't comment. They do have childrens activities for the school holidays and I can say they're really well organised and keep the kids busy and creative... it's normally themed around a book & you can read that at home too.

If you don't get offered a loyalty card, I'd recommended you ask for one. After eight purchases, or maybe ten, you get a free book which is pretty cool.

Their young adult section is great, it should be bigger in my opinion if you think about the target audience for attracting readers into adulthood. It's also in a bit of a walkway which makes it difficult to dwell as you feel pressured to...

Waterstones, Nottingham is a must visit for book lovers. It's a must visit for anyone with an interest in anything. It's got an array of books of all types like nowhere else in the county.

Seriously, like football? Check, see the sports section. Like cars? Here's a pictographic history of the Model T? A fan of military history in Czechoslovakia? They probably have that too, I don't know I'm not an index card. Hate reading? Well don't come here then.

For me, Waterstones is a treat. When you walk through those doors and you get to the first table of hilarious novels, informative thrillers and witty biographies, you know you're home.

Every so often you will see a little card next to a book and then you're in for a treat. Those cards are written by the staff, and they're hilarious - giving a little account of the book in a few witty sentences.

The atmosphere is fantastic. Everyone who is there wants to be there. They're just as excited about being there as you are.

Oh, and they also have coffee. 11/10,...

I recently visited here to use the world book day token I had for my little one, and It felt like I was in book heaven. If this isn't your usual scene, then you'll be surprised at the sense of peace and quiet you have. With all thats available, you can shut the world out through a book, and that includes the people in store. Before I'd arrived, I called in advance to make sure the book I wanted was there and the member of staff I spoke to on the phone was really nice, they even shown me all that was left when I got into store. Another member of staff did not hesitate to show me around the food section, guiding me through what was there in some detail. It really was a lovely atmosphere, I have been missing out, but now I will be returning more often. The children's area was a great size, and there was even a schedule for the Easter holidays with Harry Potter Potions to kick start the week. I would highly recommend anyone...

Last one of the big bookshops still standing. This one has 4 floors each catering for different kind of books - fiction A to Z, childrens, schools, educational and text books, etc. Waterstones has this library quietness feel about it but at the same time it is a buzzing place and I just want to buy at least half of the books but would never find the time to read them all. Recently (well, I haven't been for quite a while to be honest, so new for me anyway) they have started to stock toy cars, balls and all sorts of soft toys, too. It is a very friendly place and the people who work there know a thig or two about literature, too which i suppose helps when you work in a bookstore. For all those who are interested, Asterix comic books are available on the second floor.

The shop is located along Bottle lane in Nottingham City centre and it has 3 floors. I had a learning experience as I didn't know that Waterstones sell religious books such as the bibles and also other different types of religious books and they can found in the second floor. Also the ground and first floors are also well stocked with all kind of text books which are available and suitable for age groups. For the accessibility aspect ,the shop has the escalators, stairs and also a lift. So the place is also wheelchair friendly. As I visited this shop on a Sunday, it was not crowded on the day. I will definitely visit this place again for more text books.
