We paid to hire out the bottom half or the venue and from the second we got there were treated as though we weren’t welcome. There was a small group of us yet we still paid the same fee as if there were a big group, however we were treated so badly. The server made us feel as though we were a burden and that we were not wanted there. This was a surprise 21st birthday for two of my friends and I was thoroughly disappointed in the way we were treated and spoken to. I work in the hospitality industry myself and more often than not deal with big groups such as hen do’s and stags and parties, not once would I greet people who have paid upwards of £300 with that much disrespect. I am just generally disappointed, regardless of anything that progressed during the night, there is no excuse for making your paying customers feel like a burden. As someone who works in events and bartending, if my place of work had displayed the same attitude as whistle and flute, there would be serious reprocussions. I Hope that you...

I have found this pub to be a great place to wind down on a Friday after work, It has a great atmosphere, tables for all party sizes, their Pizza and Beer deal is great value and (Most of the time) is delicious! They constantly cycle their pumps and every week there is something new to try. The staff are friendly and attentive.

I wish there was more room around the pool table it can feel a little cramped but they do offer a smaller que for the tricky shots ;)

We have also used their basement area for company events. Its spacious and with enough attendance I believe they let you use the space for free (And man a mini bar downstairs so people don't have to carry their drinks up and down the stairs.)

Lovely place. The atmosphere is always great, very inviting and friendly, good for a chill night or a catch-up with family or friends. It is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp at the entrance and does have an accessible bathroom ,although it can be tough to get into when crowded as it is in the back corner, next to some seating.
