Mag Mug Café – Nottingham | A Hidden Gem with Middle Eastern Vibes

I've been a regular at Mag Mug Café for the past 5 months, and it’s safe to say it’s become one of my favourite spots in Nottingham. If you’re into cozy cafés with chill vibes, good music, and a Middle Eastern flair—this place should be on your list.

The highlight of their menu (and trust me, I’ve tried most of it by now) is hands down the Saffron Milk Cake—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Their Tiramisu Cake is another must-try; light, indulgent, and just the right amount of sweet. Pair that with their Arabic Coffee Pot or a warm cup of Karak Chai, and you’ve got a match made in café heaven.

The ambience is lovely, especially at night. Soft lighting, mellow tunes, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere make it perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying some solo time. They also have outdoor seating, which is great when the weather’s nice. I’ve spent countless evenings here working on my laptop, sipping chai, and just vibing to the music.

From the moment I stepped into the café, I felt a warm and inviting atmosphere with a cozy decor that makes you want to stay longer. The place is quiet and perfect for both hanging out with friends or getting some work done in a relaxing setting.

The coffee was excellent, and it’s clear they use high-quality beans. The barista is skilled in making and presenting coffee in a way that enhances the experience. I tried [karak], and it was perfectly balanced and full of flavor.

As for the desserts, I ordered [Saffron milk Cake], and it was absolutely delicious—fresh and prepared with great attention to detail. The service was another highlight, with friendly and attentive staff who were quick to serve.

The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and experience you get. Honestly, this place is worth visiting more than once. If you’re looking for a café that offers great ambiance, excellent coffee, and outstanding service, I highly recommend...

This place is one of the best places for a good chill, I love the atmosphere, you currently can have Shisha in car but also there lots of nice hot drinks and desserts. This place has standards which I like and they are very kind and hospitable people and when it comes to service one of the fastest. They’re very quick in customer service and I swear even when busy they come to you quickly and listen to you which I find Nottingham other bars and cafes lack in.
