Very dirty, extremely disrespectful staff, and overcharged.

Off to a bad start when the table and menus were covered in food debris. The menus were also pretty ragged and wet with food stains.

After we sat down, the staff split the table, so that another couple could eat next us. But the staff didn’t even bother cleaning the table and left it completely filthy. So disrespectful!

The atmosphere was completely killed by the fact that the tables and people were so tightly crammed into a small space, you had to shout just to be heard at your own table.

With the tables so closely packed, I was pinned in, and the woman at the split table had to get up just to let me out to pay.

We ordered the spanakopitta (£7.95) and tiropitta (£7.95), a hot chocolate (£3), and Coke Zero. One thing to Georgina’s credit, the food was good, especially the houmous that comes with the spanakopitta.

But was charged £29.40. The math doesn’t add up. We were illegally overcharged with some hidden surcharge.

Tucked away in Oxford's vibrant Covered Market, Georgians Cafe is a colourful, cosy spot that serves up seriously flavourful food at wallet-friendly prices. I opted for the mixed salad plate at just £7.99 and was genuinely impressed.

The hummus was a highlight, however the pita bread let the plate down slightly, resembling cheap shop-bought pita.

That said, the overall experience made up for it. The cafe’s bright pink walls, quirky art, and low ceilings give it a homely, welcoming vibe that feels authentic and unpretentious.

If you are visiting Oxford, Georgina's is an absolute must. We stumbled upon this little gem and we were not disappointed. Fantastic buzz and atmosphere and absolutely incredible food, with generous portion sizes. Our meal was full of flavour and extremely good. There is a great choice and the coffee is amazing. Terrific service too. Just a fantastic little place, run by very nice people. We would thoroughly recommend this little independent. We will head straight back, when next in Oxford.
