Today 24th July, I had a rather unfortunate experience at the coffee shop. There were two female staff members, one tall and one short, on duty. The shorter staff member was taking orders when we entered. We ordered a latte and an iced flat white. To our surprise, she said they couldn't make an iced flat white. This confused us, as we've ordered it before at this very shop without any issues.

I politely requested her to prepare a regular flat white with some ice added to it. However, her response showed clear annoyance, and she reluctantly took our order.

To our dismay, the tall staff member who prepared our coffees later gave me a hot flat white instead of the iced one I had asked for. When I mentioned the mistake, she questioned why I wanted ice in a hot drink. I politely explained that I had actually requested an iced flat white, but the short colleague had insisted they don't make it. It was then that the shorter staff member, seemingly agitated, almost shouted "it's ok."

I felt that the service attitude was very poor, and I couldn't understand why they couldn't make an iced flat white when I had ordered it multiple times before. I would like to suggest that the coffee shop's manager improve the internal training and encourage staff to pay attention to their attitude towards customers. They should also learn how to make an iced flat white properly if you are voted as "The best coffee shop in Oxford" (from service...

Unfortunately, my visit to this café was extremely disappointing.

First of all, there is no table service — customers are expected to collect their own drinks. When I asked for sugar, instead of providing it, the staff simply pointed towards a messy, dirty table outside, where the sugar jars were carelessly left among used cups and trash, as you can see in the photos. No spoons were offered with the coffee either, which is simply unacceptable.

The staff were unfriendly and clearly disinterested in providing any kind of service. One of the girls working there was extremely loud, laughing wildly and behaving in a very unprofessional manner, completely disregarding the atmosphere customers expect when visiting a café. She had no idea how to treat customers properly. Her wild laughter and complete lack of manners made the entire atmosphere chaotic and unpleasant. It’s obvious that the staff has zero training in customer service and no interest in improving.

The overall experience was ruined not only by the poor service but also by the dirty, neglected presentation of the coffee station and seating area. From what I witnessed and captured in the pictures, this café seriously lacks basic standards of hygiene and hospitality.

I would not recommend visiting this place and will certainly not be...

Colombia Coffee Roasters at Oxford’s Covered Market is a compact yet welcoming café that has become a cornerstone of the city’s specialty coffee scene. Tucked among the historic stalls of the market, the space is small but immediately inviting, filled with the rich aroma of freshly ground beans and the warm hum of baristas.

Despite its modest size, the café manages to feel both cozy and vibrant, with friendly staff crafting a perfectly balanced coffee. The menu caters to both coffee connoisseurs and casual drinkers, offering a wide range of brewing methods—from Aeropress to Chemex—alongside their popular Colombian hot chocolate, teas, and a tempting selection of cakes and savoury bites.

The limited seating means you will often find the space bustling, particularly during weekends and student rush hours, but that atmosphere is part of its charm: it’s a place where locals, students, and visitors mingle, united by a shared appreciation for quality coffee. With its award-winning reputation, consistently praised service, and dedication to authenticity, Colombia Coffee Roasters is not just a stop for caffeine—it’s an experience that brings a taste of Colombia right into the...

Visited this coffee shop this morning at about 11.15. Matriculation Day in Oxford meant everywhere was super busy, including this place. But they seemed to have anticipated this with a lot of staff on and, so first glance, a seemingly effective ordering system and production process for food & drink orders. But for some reason my tea & latte order took over 15 mins to produce. The first barista applied the hot water to the tea bag & the espresso was made, both within 5 mins. Then the next batista in the 'production line' took them ... and left them to one side, proceeding with about four other food & drink orders before coming back to the stewing tea & cooling espresso. At that point, he seemed unsure what to do with them & had to ask a colleague, who reminded him to look at the order ticket. Finally, I got my cold latte & stewed luke warm tea. I ordered banana bread too - this was dry & tasteless. What a disappointing experience. Certainly did not live up to the claim on a blackboard of being Oxford's Best Coffee Shop. Far from it today guys. Best thing about the visit: cool logo.
