We got our 10,000+ steps in easily yesterday, walking around Oxford searching for this place. We first started venturing to the Banbury FitCookie, but disappointingly, it was closed on Good Friday, unlike the FitCookie in Oxford. I didn't want to buy another Orgain Organic protein powder online from a U.S. store because the shipping takes too long to arrive in the UK. I was looking for a local fitness supplement shop with what I need. I'm participating in a healthy weight-loss diet program recommended by my GP that supplies my weight-loss protein supplements. The whey protein concentrate powder upset my stomach, so I switched to lactose-free or plant-based protein powder. I had just finished consuming the 18oz Orgain Organic Superfoods protein supplement that lasted only one week and needed to restock ASAP. I had called FitCookie Oxford, and no one had answered. We wasted time in Holland & Barrett at Castle Quay Mall. They had plant-based protein, but it wasn't good quality. Upon leaving the mall, I received a call from a number I didn't recognize, but I believed it was one of the supplement stores I had called earlier. Sure enough, it was the Oxford FitCookie. The accommodating and friendly male voice on the phone gave me the FitCookie Oxford address. We've only been to Oxford twice since relocating to the UK. We eventually found the FitCookie after getting lost, walking in the wrong direction, and entering the Covered Market (we wish we had known about this place on our first visit to Oxford). The big, big muscle man behind the shop counter was very welcoming and helpful in sharing his personal experience with using 100% whey protein isolate and knowledge of the products that they sell. I bought what I needed, along with a cool FitCookie t-shirt. I'm sure we'll be going back. I'm grateful they were open on a holiday. There should be a FitCookie shop in every town. My number 1 go to for protein and other supplements. Staff are always so helpful and friendly, willing to help you whatever your dietary needs. I had some problems with some protein I was previously using causing bloating, they were able to provide a really good and reasonably priced alternative.
