Avoid, one of the worst experiences at a chain restaurant in a long time. Firstly about 12 people huddled together in the door way, while people are pushing through to get up the stairs to visit the toilets with chefs in their overalls pushing through with food. No one came out to see who we were are what any of us needed, we all commented on how strange this was…we were there for about 15 minutes until we realised they open the door and say how many, 2? 3? Any allergies. Finally being sat next to a dirty table (wasn’t cleaned until a table of 4 came) waiter came to take our drinks we mentioned one of us had an allergy and as we know one of the managers need to take this! They said they will be over shortly…25 minutes later, during this time we watched as there were 3 managers (we’ve figured out it’s the ones dressed in black) one kept looking over at us but never came over the other stuck doing takeaways and the other just walking around. We noticed how many dirty tables there were throughout the restaurant. A waiter came over to see if we were ready we mentioned we are waiting for a manager finally they came, no apologies for waiting we commented we were waiting a long time but didn’t even notice what we said. The food came, ““Allergy bowl” dropped down, next dish came name announced, 5 minutes later ”“Allergy Curry” …fine. No check back, the food bowls were then stacked infront of us and didn’t even ask if the food was ok. We scanned that code and couldn’t pay quick enough and got out of there. What has happened to Wagamama!! We love it but this experience has...

Me and the misses went there as we were in town and love Wagamama. The lady who showed us to our table was lovely and he had a nice chat while we where walking which was refreshing. I had a steak Raman (image attached) and the misses had the teriyaki chicken. Now from experience I know food is delivered at different times, which is fine. However, there was no teriyaki souce with her meal, as all the rice was white and not stained like it's meant to be. (I know from working with this before, it stains everything) She rummaged around and she found nothing so she politely asked the waiter for some more souce. 20 minutes later still nothing and her food was starting to get cold. She asked another waiter which we assumed was the manger or superviser (we guessed as staff would ask her if it was ok to go on their break) and she said she would get it right away. After 5 more minuits she brought a small pot full of souce. However by this time both the souce and the food was cold. All the misses wanted to do was enjoy her meal, we don't like kicking up a fuss as we like this place but it came across as rude as the waiters would palm us off after this. And when we came to pay, there was no apology from any of the waiters. We did get told that there was some souce in the food, when there wasn't and eating plain rice with chicken is not something I like to pay £9.50 for. Very disappointed by the lack of care. 2 stars for each other wagamama's we have been too who continue to have amazing service and customer satisfaction in both Cheltenham...

I dont think i have ever left a restaurant review. I must have eaten in wagamamma a 100 times . my wife and i went to itsu in oxford for a meal it was so revolting we left it all. We wanted some noodles so we went to this place thinking well at least we know what we will get will be edible. i am afraid we were completely wrong. Like all wagamamma when you order for some reason your order comes bit by bit over time. first we got a bowl of rice then about 10 minutes later another dish came then about 10m minutes after that we got the main dishes by which time the rice and first dish were cold we asked for a new bowl of rice which they served we then set about trying to eat the main course which was almost indebible including the earlier dish. i left half my dish my wife about 3/4 we then got a bill for £35 . We left with a revolting taste in our mouth and had to go to a cafe to eat something sweet to take the awful taste away . The restaurant had about maximum 10 people in it but you would have thought it had a 100 the way the place was run it was about 5.30 so maybe it was a change of shift or something. i dont think i will ever go to wagamamma again anywhere. The staff were OK but seemed to be a bit confused about everything . There appears to be nowhere in oxford worth eating in which is strange when you think it is a tourist and student hotspot. I would give no stars if possible...

Coming in here with my husband, we didn't exactly expect an "authentic" Asian restaurant, but we were very confused when we received our chicken chili ramen because it didn't taste like ramen at all, what we got was more like Penang Asam Laksa. The broth had a fresh light spicy soury taste, topped with red onions, coriander leaves, big red chillies, beansprouts, and lime (which is just like Asam Laksa without the fish). Even the noodles tasted and looked more like rice noodles than ramen noodles. I think if they changed the name to "chili noodles" instead of "chili ramen" at least it wouldn't be so misleading. The yakisoba was better (albeit maybe too many ginger slices), though both dishes were a bit too bland for us. That said, the food was still ok and didn't taste terrible, but it would probably fit the palates of British people better than ours (I will say that the place was very packed for a Monday night, though most of the customers were not Asians, and as far as I could see the chefs were not either). You can get much better ramen for cheaper prices at other places in Oxford. Service was great and friendly.

A bit over priced although there is a lot of nice fresh ingredients and good flavours. A lot of options which is always good. Friendly staff. It's great to have the option for brown rice. I had the chicken samla curry which was nice but could have done with some more sweetness. I had to add some sweet chilly. Can anyone recommend a sweeter curry in wagamama? The vegetable goyza was nice but overpriced. I highly recommend the Gloster green market for goyza dumplings (wendsdays and Saturdays) . Which is much cheaper and way more tasty. The raw salad was nice but didn't really have any House dressing. Bit of a shame as it has been very much enjoyed in the past. Lovely staff and good atmosphere with an open view kitchen and nice aromas. Would be good to see some deals.
