This order was very important, and I made sure to book it well in advance on Sunday 31st of August 2025 to avoid any issues on the day. Unfortunately, the service I received was unacceptable: At 4:30 p.m. on the delivery day, the cake had still not arrived, so I called your store. I was told it would not arrive until around 6:30 p.m. or later. During the call, staff appeared unsure whether my order was even for that day. I had to confirm that it was indeed for 3rd September 2025 at 4:00 p.m., as clearly stated in my booking. It seemed from the conversation that the cake may not even have been prepared until after I called. In the end, the cake was delayed by several hours, leaving me and my guests extremely disappointed and disrupting my son’s birthday celebration. I booked this cake for a specific time and occasion. Delivering it hours late defeats the purpose and shows a lack of care in handling...
Read moreI had the pleasure of trying two flavours of cakes from this shop, and I must say, both were delicious. What impressed me the most was the shop's ability to fulfil my order at very short notice, ensuring that everything was ready on time. One standout feature for me was the extensive range of vegetarian options, including a variety of eggless cakes. The shop also offers a diverse selection of vegan cakes, although they do take a bit more time to prepare. Throughout my experience, the shopkeepers displayed excellent customer service—they were not only cooperative but also patient in understanding all the intricate details of my cake preferences. Their willingness to listen resulted in great suggestions that I genuinely appreciated. Overall, it's a fantastic shop, and I highly recommend giving it a try for a delightful and accommodating...

Cakebox is her favourite cake in the area of Plymouth town centre, but she uses a motorised wheelchair due to disability making it very difficult to walk. She has asked multiple times for a ramp to be provided so she can access the shop the same as able bodied customers, however they refuse to install/invest in one; so when the shop is busy, the staff can't see her waiting outside trying to get attention to be served. When it is quiet, sometimes an assistant will come to the door and take her order, however this is slightly degrading, rather than enabling her to be an independent person with the same access as other customers. As a chain that has over 150 branches, I'm sure they can afford to make their stores accessible...
