Incredibly friendly environment.
I stayed here for 2 years whilst i was at the university of plymouth, The property is much better than any other university options at a cheaper price. standard rooms as of pictures on there website but really well maintained and kept up to date , the maintenance team are great, jobs are typically completed within 24hours.
Perhaps the friendliest and most inviting team of people ive met at an accomadation.
Not a far walk to campus but does get tedious if there is bad weather or you have gaps inbetween lectures. This isnt really an issue more of a personal preference. 10min walk
I would certainly stay here as a first year student as everything is covered(wifi, bills) and in my opinion is the best area of plymouth.
Tesco shop below which is perfect if you forget something and a co op 5 mins down the road, perfect if accesible problems.
Fairly central to town, 5mins so if you like going out its not far as everything is so near
Property is gated, very safe environment. Packages are all gathered at reception so if your not in, it doesnt matter, they will notify you once collected, i really liked this about staying at astor
If your roadside staying can be very entertaining during weekends, however is noisy at all times with the roads, does sometimes cause problems trying to sleep.
Rooms get very very warm, only real negative to staying here, if your always cold perfect place to stay.
Really enjoyed staying here, shame to...
Read morePlease take into consideration that all these 5 star reviews would have been left in September 2016 when Astor House was running a competition to win things if we left good reviews...... I am currently living here and my room is great, has everything I need and want, its only a bronze en suite but still bigger than I thought. Lovely staff and facilities. I personally like the position as it is a 10-15 min walk to uni and probably the only exercise i get. However, my curtain was not fixed to the wall when I moved in and took them 2 months to fix it, we still have problems in the kitchen which have been there since we arrived and we are worried we will lose our deposits if they think we have broken these things!! Washing etc a rip off! £4.10 i think. Post is not secure. No surface space in the kitchen as the worktop has no free area due to sinks/hobs and the island in the middle taken up by one flat members stuff/alcohol. Make sure you visit Astor before booking and book one of the rooms with an actual view otherwise, like me you will end up with your curtain shut 24/7 unless you want to look into everyone elses room (its a U shaped building with courtyard) and also the noise!!!!!! Lift breaks a lot, once a week probably... If you do want to live here book through prodigy living its cheaper than...
Read moreI’ve been staying at IQ Astor House for over a month now, and I’m really happy with my experience. The staff are very helpful and friendly, always ready to assist whenever needed. My room is clean, well-maintained, and in great condition, with no maintenance issues at all. The washroom is fully equipped, and every room has a heater, even though it wasn’t mentioned at the time of booking.
I live on the 6th floor, and the lift works perfectly, making it very convenient. The IQ app is regularly updated and easy to use, which helps manage everything smoothly. The Wi-Fi is super-fast, and I’ve had no connection issues.
The laundry area is convenient, and the location is excellent — Tesco supermarket is just nearby, making shopping easy. My online orders and packages are handled safely by the IQ staff, who manage them with great care. Privacy is also well respected here.
I’ve spoken with many friends who live in other student accommodations, and most of them aren’t fully satisfied — but everyone I know at Astor House is happy. Overall, it’s great value for money and one of the best options for international students at the University of Plymouth.
Highly...
