Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Plymouth

Ordered a flat white with gingerbread and was given the sugar free syrup without asking if I wanted a skinny one or not). Could tell something wasn't right about it and was told that that's the only way they can give it to you in that particular shop. I asked if I could have it remade with a different full sugar syrup as I cannot stand the taste of artificial sweetener and seemingly was given another flat white with sugar free syrup. It tasted like really poor coffee. Begrudgingly threw it straight in the bin as I didn't want to ask again as I'm not sure I was popular for asking the first time! Getting a drink before appointment. We come to Derriford fairly often for appointments for young baby, so stop in Costa to feed beforehand. Often get a 'hot' drink which more often than not seems to be more warm than hot. Partner also ordered a new drink that, on the poster, had cream and a dressing. None of which was on his drink. We often visit Liskeard Costa, who are always spot on we find! Shame that the Derriford doesn't live up to the same standards, especially due to location, it's nice to have a hot drink before going into an appointment...

Not the best Costa I've been in. The coffee (chai latte) tasted the exact same as you'd expect it to but it was very depressing on there, the staff were all miserable and looked like they didnt wanna be there and I didnt feel very welcome, compared to alot of other Costa's I've been in, this is one of my least favourites. Then, the card machine messed up when I tried to pay with my Costa Clever Cup, I was looked at by the staff member and if it was my fault, if looks could kill. I think I'll give this shop a miss the next time I'm at...
